Soo.... How do I jump start as a coach?

Hello! I'm Gabezilla, currently Diamond IV.

As someone who loves esports, and wants to become a part of it in any way, it struck me that I wanted to be able to coach a player(s)/team. I would love to be a player on a team, but im letting that come to me when the time is right. As someone who aspires to play in the LCS in the very near future, I want to take every step I can to fulfill that precious goal of mine.

In the meantime, though, I have a couple of questions about how to become a coach in the league scene:

What does it take to coach a league team/player(s)?

How can I begin coaching and to get experience in coaching others to build up into a more professional scene of coaching?

Any tips/advice would really help me in this new venture I set out on! Maybe you'll even see me doing big things really soon :)

Cheers!

Edit: I have made a thread in regards to free coaching here! http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/team-recruitment/n4uZbnz5-diamond-iv-adc-main-offering-free-coaching-to-lower-elo-players

Diamond 4 aspiring to become an LCS player is very VERY ambitious and quite a far reach.

To even make it remotely near Amateur Team territory the minimal requirement is to make it into D1/Master/Challenger elo with EASE.

This is coming from a D3/D2 player, D4 to D3 there is a noticeable gap, D3 to D2 to D1, all have gaps of their own.

You've entered the most competitive elo, this is where the real test begins. But I've always seen D4/D5 as the scum at the bottom of the barrel, they're they ones who made it but barely.

In my personal opinion you should try to reach Master before joining a team or coaching to make it doing " big things "

If you want it more than anything it will come true just have faith. Id say the best way to get experience would be start coaching lower elo players first. See how you do with them and how they take in the info. If you help alot of bronzes get silver easily then its clear youre giving them good info and teaching them correctly. ( of course youll have some that are stubborn and may not work out ). Just maybe look around the forums make posts and etc. Im sure there are a ton of players plat and below that would love to be coached by a diamond. It would require alot of patience and watching games for mistakes but id say thats part of being a coach and the best way to get experience. Of course by you watching them and critiqueing them youll probably even learn some stuff yourself to help you climb. If you want you can feel free to add me id love to help in some other way as someone who shares your dream ( of course mines to be the best mid laner ).

I'm not really sure what a league coach does, but if you'd like to gain some experience doing it I'm sure there's a ton of teams looking for one in the team recruitment section. Hell, my team could definitely use some coaching. We're a 5s team that likes to try out different comps. So far we've had some success with a poke+siege+anti-engage comp with AP shaco/karma top, Varus/xerath/ziggs mid, tahm kench jungle, alistar support, and jinx/trist/sivir adc. Next I was thinking we'd try a juggernaut support team. Something like Darius/garen top, orianna mid, sivir adc, tahm kench jungle, and lulu/janna support.

Throw me an add if you're interested in helping us out.

What I've seen other people do is take a person who is lower tier than you and put a start date and coach them up. Record the progress and how long it took. The same is true for teams. Find a team of lower tier and coach them through replays and whatnot so you can help them out. Record the progress and talk to other coaches.
