If someone is being a jerk but you're better than them

So someone is being an @$$ and making stupid moves then blaming the rest of the team. You are obviously better than them. What do you do? The best way to make them learn their lesson is: don't save them when they make bad moves. They might rage, but just tell them that they are making bad moves and they might stop, as opposed to the usual "this guy's saying I'm bad, what does he know? I'll show him by making an amazing play" when they proceed to get themselves killed yet again. Try it.

I frankly think the best way to deal with those type of people is to swallow your own pride and try to help them be as good as they think they are. Afterwards I'll likely never have to see them again, so what's the harm?

I don't think I've ever seen it work. If I let them go kill themselves, they blame me for not following their play. If I tell them that I think it was a bad play, I was wrong. It was going to be epic 2v4 victory if I followed up. Confronting situations like this more often leads to team arguments than a discussion.

I usually just say sorry I'm bad, let them agree with me and move on. Doing this is probably bad for me since a lot of people are in fact better than me, and I refuse to listen when they turn aggressive toward me.

There is a flowchart for this somewhere... if not there should be.

If it was your mistake own the mistake and do better.
If it was not your mistake but you could of helped him out of the situation own the mistake and do better. if it was his mistake and there is a chance to save the match... own the mistake and do better.

If it was his mistake and the match is irrevocably lost. Proceed to flame and point out every flaw he makes. also throw in hate speech about his personal life choices and family while refusing to surrender so you feel better about yourself.

You can still do well in a game your team lost. You can still do very poorly in a game your team won and carried you. Let your personal performance be your personal standard.
