Tips for Fiora mid?

I just picked it up recently, and I enjoy it a ton. I always hated Fiora due to her lack of CC and tank and her being in the jungle or top... which left little room for a decent team comp in solo queue.

However, I've been pretty successful lately with her in mid after learning all her quirks. Any advice?

Honestly man, just don't. Fiora can be sort of fun, but she brings so little to a fight that it's almost laughable. Sure her ult deals nice damage, and she's one of the better duelists, but there are so many better options, and using a melee mid that wasn't specifically designed for mid can be an issue against good mid players. She can be heavily abused, and unfortunately her Parry doesn't help much against someone who's just gonna hit her with abilities instead of auto attacks.

If anything, I would avoid playing her altogether unless you're using her in a team comp that features heavy CC from other members. She might do well in a comp that has a Nami support and a Zac jungle, for instance, but as a champion who has to build almost entirely damage to truly be effective, and lacks significant escape mechanics or CC, she's a very iffy pick for most matchups.

I main mid, but I don't think I've ever seen a Fiora Mid. My best advice would be to abuse that. Don't allow the other mid laner to get into a situation where they're comfortable or in control of the lane. Keep them in a state of confusion where they don't know if they should farm, go agressive, or fall back.

I'd also practice farming under your tower in case you're against a high wave-clear champion.

she is a VERY niche pick mid. she is okay if you play her like you would a katarina (cry while you farm to 6 and then roam with ult) but she will get poked out of lane by most half decent mages

as no one seems to have constructive advice, i'd just look up some youtube vids of people playing it. i know voyboy does it on his streams sometimes

the only advice being given is 'don't do it', which isn't helpful in the slightest. Fiora can be a viable mid.

Here's some advice based on what i've seen people do:

  1. Start flask and pots for the sustain; you get free damage from your w, so you don't need to start long sword or dorans

  2. max dash (Q); use first strike on champion, then second activation to dash out. if you stick around them at level 1 or 2, or use both dashes to reach them, you will take a lot of minion aggro.

  3. after some harrass you should be able to push them off of the wave, or even kill them, before 6. just watch for the gank, bc it will likely be coming.

  4. at level 6, you should be able to either dive the mid (maybe with help from the jungler) or roam to a lane and get some kills. Fiora is extremely snowbally, so getting some kills early is crucial.

I'm not an expert by any means, this is just what i've seen people do. again, i recommend looking up some guides or some youtube vids
