I'm not entirely sure about what you need to learn in mechanics since I don't know how experienced you are (And I'm kind of a noob too) but I can try to help a bit with support by typing some of the stuff I've learned:
There are different types of support lanes: Kill lanes, Poke lanes and Sustain lanes.
Kill lanes are focused on forcing a fight with cc and securing early kills to get ahead in the game (champs like Leona are perfect for this). They need to be dominant in order to really be succesful.
Poke lanes are about slowly whittling away your opponent's hp until they are low enough for you to go in and sweep them. Usually, you need champs with long range in order to be able to pull this off (like caitlyn).
Sustain lane is about being passive, farming and healing/shielding any poke damage you would take in trades. Champs like Soraka are suited for sustain lanes.
Some consider this to be the laning triangle. As in, Kill lanes will have an edge over sustain lanes, sustain will beat poke lanes and poke lanes will defeat kill lanes.
There's a lot more to go over but I'll keep it brief:
Always keep tabs on your opponent's cooldowns and their mana bars. If the blitz missed his hook and the enemy adc just wasted all their skills and is low on mana while you and your adc have a mana advantage, that is a good time to try to poke or harass them since they won't have as much to their disposal as you do.
No matter what role you play, map awareness and warding can win you games. Knowing where the enemy is, what they are doing and predicting what they're going to do next is crucial to winning or losing the game. You should always take some time to ward certain areas of the map (like Dragon or Baron, but warding other areas can be as important) and get sightstones if you are playing as support and sometimes even the jungler get them.
I mostly play on the NA server myself, but I do have an OCE account because I would go there at times to play with an Aussie friend of mine. You can definitely add me there if you want, my summoner name is Pwetbanger. However, because I live in California my ping can get really high over there on bad days (though usually it never goes above 170) and that might lead to a lot of lag and dcing on my end while we are in game.
