Tips for soloQ?

I have a bunch of friends I play with in the evenings and I got a bunch of time in the day to play. But I don't because I constantly hear horrible things about soloQ. When i'm with friends I don't think about how well the team is doing because i hear them during the game, its not the same when you're alone. Its also the reason i'm the only unranked one out of all of us item 3070

SoloQ anxiety isn't unheard of, plenty of people tend to feel that way at first. I feel that the best way to get over it is to just dive in and go through with it.

Time to man up and earn your keep! With friends they can keep carrying you and you wont learn anything so it's harder to improve. Just go in with a tough skin and keep emotion out of it. Focus on objectives, cooldowns and learn to trade. Also you really have nothing to lose if you do poorly in solo Q. If you're not meant to be there you'll move out of that league

Also those people who just say "Use x champ, they OP" are most likely trash players. Theres much more to it than just champ selection. There's dozens of champs which will win you games and thousands of people have ranked up to another league using someone else. GO FUCKING TRYND HE GOT ME TO XX SO OP are literally the same people who say "Nerf (insert champ they just used), so OP"

Solo queue is... different. If you want to play you should know in advance that a lot of people can't handle losing well, at all. So if you can handle flaming or if you're quick with the ignore button, you'll be perfectly fine.

Flamers aside, solo queue is a great way to improve your mechanical skill and your playmaking abilities, IF YOU CARE TO DO SO. But most people don't and aim only to win this or that match and thus fail to improve at all, blaming and flaming their teammates all the while.

It's also an amazing test and field of improving shotcalling abilities as getting 4 strangers to cooperate with you and follow your calls is quite tough.

I'd say put on your best fireproof suit and dive in. Don't pay attention to your rank, just play to learn and improve. If you happen to feed, apologise to your teammates, ignore the flamers and move on. Good luck :)

Honestly....I haven't Solo Q'd in over a year now. >=D lol. 4 randoms was always way too much for me to handle. So I usually just play with friends, and if we lose together, we can at least laugh about it. Sometimes me and my friends make fun of each other for doing stupid mistakes and stuff. I usually duo or trio normals at least. Though I've been tempted to try it again to see what it's like now, but meh, no motivation for it. If you really want to Solo Q though, then just go for it. You got all day and you can at least try to Solo a match or two, even if you lose both, it's only two games and you'll know if you like Solo Q or not. Try at least 4 Solos if you're still not sure at first. A few losses won't hurt if you lose them all and that way you'll know if you like it or not, and can just wait for friends to get on if it doesn't go well. If it goes well, then that's good. =P
