CS @ ___

So I'm a silver 3 support main, but thats not carrying me out of silver so I have decided to learn mid and adc. I generally have in between 55-70 cs at 10 minutes in which I understand is sub par, and I'm usually 5-10 cs ahead of my lane opponent. Anyways, what is the optimal CS at 10/15/20/30 minutes for Adc and Mid? Thanks guys :)

Mid gets one extra wave just because the lane is slightly shorter iirc. The Highest possible cs at 10 mins is around 100 (112 is it?), every 10 mins, there are 100 creeps in all the waves. Most people aim for about 85 at 10 mins, because that is reasonable. In game, there are a lot of factors that can prevent you from getting all creeps (zoning, backing, overextending concerns, etc.). What a person should work on is not missing them if you can possibly/ safely get them, like not messing up last hitting under tower.

Something that can help you greatly is controlling the creep wave so that you are in a good position to last hit the creeps consistently/ putting your enemy in a bad position to last hit.

Your goal for cs should always be 10 for each minute. 10min-100cs,15min-150cs, etc.

I don't feel like the responses have given you an effective "goal", even if they have told you how many minions spawn within 10 minutes. Your goal should really be between 70-85 CS by the 10 minute mark. I go with the 8 CS per minute rule, since this will pretty much carry you all of the way out of Gold if you can do this effectively. It's god-like mechanics to get 100 CS by 10 minutes; even pros don't achieve this on an effective level (even in solo queue against "scrubs"). At some point, your enemy is going to pressure you out of lane, their jungler is going to gank you and force you back under the turret, or you will be needed to roam and help with dragon or push another objective. As a general rule, just keep an eye on your CS throughout the game, comparing it to your enemies. Try to keep yourself ahead of them to maintain your gold lead and your advantage. Your CS per minute will slowly go up as you kill minion waves in one shot after 20 minutes, so if you are at 150 to 170 CS at that point, you're in a good place.

This link has a table for max creep score you can have at any time. Also has a creep score calculator.

http://en-us.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/204xyb/learn_to_cs_like_a_challenger_with_elyndar_a/ this is a pretty helpful post about CS. there was another one i thought i had that was a training guide on CSing. Bot matches starting 1v1 just concetrating on your l;ast hitting, then 1v1 cs and deny, then it gets really fun with 1v2 csing just to train yourself to get that last hit and avoid pokes and ganks... i wish i still had the link maybe someone else here on the boards has it

I'm reading these comments because I need help on this too but if you're trying to freeze the lane and only atk for last hit its like impossible to get that many cs 100 cs in 10 minutes...especially if you're trying to harass the other player and doing other things...unless if you're top lane and its a tank vs tank with summoner 12 summoner 4 (no summoner 14 so aka no kill or gank potential, and you can get back into lane with a teleport means you dont miss any cs)

just my honest opinion my goal has always been my cs > other laner's cs, and harass on top of that.
