Stop loosing streaks (lower level ranked especially, like bronze)

Loosing too much in ranked? Dropped down a tier or 2? well it probably is because you cant get in the right mindset. To help get that mindset follow these steps.

  1. Stop playing for 10 minutes and reflect on last game. Just ponder where you lost it. was it team comp? did someone feed? did you error? bad champions picked?
  2. Start up a team builder lobby. DO NOT PICK YOUR MAIN. This is very important. Go your next best role/champ, something fun, your nemesis from last game's champ, someone who is currently good, or someone new to you. This allows you to gain diversity in your thinking. Say you just lost your fifth game as Alistar support, go a heavy carry mid or jungler. By focusing on a different aspect of the game you refresh your mind to the loosing one you have. And since you don't try to win for anything other than a win screen, the game is much more laid back.
  3. Training. Yes training. Go to a draft normals lobby. Pick a champ that you have had poor experiences against or haven't tried but have heard good things about or is dominating the current meta. Knowing what is good, what isn't, and what you do bad against will help you understand how to deal with it. Knowing your enemy is half the battle. If you love ADC but are shit at last hitting minions, make that your goal. If you can snowball a mid with kills but end up short on cs, work on that. If you are too hesitant to make that ballsy dive as a support and always regret it, go hard this game. Basically play new.
  4. Once your confident in your goal from step 3, try to win a few un-ranked matches. Try to play draft mode since it is like ranked and never play special event games (they usually break normal game rules so it wont help you necessarily improve). ARAM also should be avoided since the increased income of mana and gold throw off your habits and expectations of the champ (also it is random, kinda counters step 3).
  5. Now that you have won a few, time to try again. Go into the ranked lobby. It helps to duo since you can stratagise better. Play who you did in your training if possible. Don't go back to the role you lost in if possible. If you have to play the role, try a new champ.
  6. In game make sure to preform the common things very well. I.e warding, calling mias, ganking, farming, taking objectives when possible, looking at the map constantly, and keeping an eye on objective timers.
  7. Remember it is just a game. You most likely wont make anything of yourself from going up a low tier division, even master and challenger ranks still don't all go to lcs. You just have to see the game as it is, a game. If you do this, all the stress and pressure is removed. Who cares if your bronze 2. What matters is that if you want to rank up, you do it without worry (Look it up, this is actually scientifically backed).
  8. Side note: it helps to know when your time zone gets its fluctuation of players throughout the day. personally i find that EST has more trolls, afks, feeders, toxic players, and drunks/baked players after 4 pm and most weekends especially Friday night. I find significantly less feeders, trolls, afks, and toxic players in the morning and afternoon (Also at 3 am but that might be hard for most people). This is just a statistic. the more people the greater a chance to find the bad ones. The ones who want to lose, the ones who want you to lose. the ones who are not competitive, or ambitious enough to at least go for a win.
  9. Lastly be positive. Thank your team for ganks and leashes, congratulate kills, whatever you do just make sure it isn't negative. if you have to be negative, try to spin it to at least neutral. Remember, just because you think it is the right way, doesn't mean they do also. If the enemy shows a lot of bm, mute them. If a team mate is too toxic, mute them for a while (not for the game, communication is important). Just keep it positive.

(not guaranteed to work, just has for me a lot)

I think above all, tightening up your game should be your overall objective in this and in any competitive pastime.

I tend not play at ranked at all for the day after a loss, I go on tilt really hard after one loss.
