Concept,

I'm not playing ranked yet because I know if I start right now I'd likely join you in bronze 5.

That said I've talked to a lot of people about getting out of bronze. They all say the same thing.

  1. learn to CS if you play a laner or ADC. If you can get to 100 CS in 14 minutes you'll be so far ahead of your counterpart in gold that you should be able to best him easily. Most recommend that you set up a custom game and enter with the champ you plan on playing in ranked, but no runes or masteries. Then only hit each minion 1 time. You have to time it. It really improves your play and can translate to more than one champ. I last worked on this with Ahri, but the first champ I did the 100 cs in 14 minutes on was when I played Jinx yesterday.

  2. choose a champ to "main". Seriously decide on a champ and play that champ as often as possible. But make sure its a champ you can play well. Don't worry about being OP, in fact finding one that isn't FOTM or many peoples "must ban" is a good idea as you want a champ that you'll likely be able to play in every game.

  3. Learn enough champs to have at least 2 each in 3 different roles including the one you plan on maining. You might end up last pick and have someone else on your team pick the role you have been maining, or you could get your role, but the other team bans or picks your main champ. Be flexible enough that you aren't hurting your team if you don't get to play your main.

  4. Wards are your friend. Wards are vision and vision is life!
Seriously, learn to ward. I'm bad at it and I know it. Wards mean you can see what the other team is doing and where they are and are not. It means you are much less likely to be surprised, or caught out of position. {An example I can remember is from a game I played yesterday. I had been playing Jinx and got bullied in lane when the jungler camped the lane so I was underfed. To help get farmed back up I was split pushing bot lane. Earlier my team and I had dropped wards all over the enemy jungle. Twice they tried to come down and catch me at their inner turret. Both times I had plenty of time retreat as I could see them leave mid lane and head through their jungle. I couldn't do as much as I wanted, but I did not die and my team was able to take the top towers while the enemy team chased me.]

  5. don't try to "carry" your team. Everyone talks about carrying themselves out of bronze, but if you talk to them, few of them really tried hard to put the team on their back. Instead they learned the mechanics of the game and refined their map awareness and warding and they ended up carrying simply because they were a solid player who played the game better than the opponents they faced. I think this is actually the key. Don't "try" to climb. Just learn the game and play your best. Eventually you'll climb out as your skill level increases.

Play better.

Seriously now, what kind of answer do you expect? There is a billion guides and videos on youtube about how to imrpove your gameplay. If you really want to be better then look something up and improve your play...

If you're any good at any champion that can come even remotely close to carrying, you should be able to get out of Bronze. Everyone in Bronze either really, really sucks, or climbs out really fast. If you're stuck in Bronze, I hate to break it to you, but you have a bit of improving to do before you can climb out.
