Any tips to get out of Bronze?

I need help. Or at least some constructive feedback.

I've been playing ranked for maybe a year. The first 6-7 months I didn't do too good, I was still trying to find a role to start as and get good at. So skip to about July and I start playing every role (I would fill) and I did pretty good. The only issue was I'd get to Bronze 3 or 2 and then I would get teams many teams (maybe 5 bad teams to 2 good ones) that would refuse to listen and not even try to implement a strategy. Then every so often someone would rage quit or just DC. Kept playing, and then getting demoted back to Br3 and then Br4, then I took a break...

Started playing ranked again and started to do pretty good. I had 70 points, and then this last game happened. Let me first say that I don't really care that I lost this match since I wasn't demoted, BUT, what does bother me is the lack of cooperation I get with so many teammates. I'm not trying to claim I'm not responsible, I probably could've ganked top and bot more, but there wasn't much more I could do.

We started off good. We got the first kill, then I killed their mid (Kass). Then a few minutes later I hear the announcer, "double kill!" and it's the enemy support. Few minutes later, "unstoppable!" and it's their Vayne. I push my tower and ultimately destroy it and push lane before ganking bot and killing the supp and adc. Now that they see me as a threat, people start ganking me mid. I get ZERO pings. I asked if they could call MIAs and only top did. Then, the enemy team all comes mid and I'm alone and asked for help several times. Rammus just jungles, Pantheon was dead, and adc and supp were coming after I nearly died. They get there, get demolished, and then they just overwhelm me, THEN as I die, Pantheon ultis right in the middle, gets CCed, and dies.

So now they are pushed to our inhibitor turret, luckily our adc pushes bot and gets their inhibitor. I'm like "yes!" So we start pushing harder and we start getting somewhere. Then our supp and adc decide to just go solo around the jungle and keep getting picked off. I tell them to stop, and pantheon tells them so stop as well and to stay in a group. Our adc was already like 2-8 and making it worse by the minute. In team fights myself and pantheon ping to target Vayne, but what does Rammus, braum, and adc do? They target Leona and Maokai. So when our tanks die, me and Pantheon get smashed.

They start pushing back and then my team would try and fight them RIGHT out of turret range, die, lose the turret and then lose the inhibitor. I figure we still gotta chance, but nope, Pantheon and I ping to group up because they were at nexus towers, again they fight out of range, they get our turrets, and win.

What could I have done to maybe have turned the tables? I pinged and tried to get them to communicate but the only one would who seemed to understand teamwork was Pantheon.

TL;DR... If team refuses to listen, what do? Did I do all I could do? Any tips to get out of Bronze?

Don't depend on your teammates.

There's always more you can do. Even LCS pros look at their gameplay and find mistakes.

Should've pushed down that tower and gotten dragon.

Improve yourself every game. If you played at even a high silver level you'd be out of bronze within a day or two. Notice each and every mistake you make and fix them.

If people aren't listening to you, you probably need to work on your communication... But regardless of what other people are doing, you should be able to carry yourself out of bronze if you get really good with one 'carry' champ

A champ that can solo carry games.

I personally climbed out of bronze mainly playing MissFortune

But there's definitely better champs. I recommend Akali Katarina Warwick Fizz Fiddlesticks Ahri Leblanc

These champs will do especially well in bronze because people won't know how to counter them. Especially Akali

Also never ever flame your teammates, always be encouraging even if you have to fake it. It really makes a huge difference.

GL!

Well in the end all you can do is to try and get better and fix your own mistakes

(I would usually not recommend building sunfire on Mordekaiser as Randuins would likely keep you alive against tryndamere/vayne longer allowing you to deal more damage or Zhonya's is also often good if you want armor and the AP will give you more damage/shield)

It would also probably be a good idea to get boots eventually as Mordekaiser has little mobility as is

Oh and instead of sharing a picture you could just share a link to the match (you get the link by clicking share match or clicking on the match in your match history

This is what you do. Spend preseason focusing your game on two things. 1. Objectives 2, Farming. 3. Worry about you.

  1. Once you rack up a kill, turn it into an objective. Kill the enemy jungler at mid? Consider doing dragon! Kill the enemy mid? Push down mid tower and gain control of the map! Just finish a teamfight and ace the enemy team, but you have no health left? WHY WOULD YOU BASE NOTHING CAN KILL YOU. Storm down those towers!!

  2. Spend 20 minutes every day working on farming. Go to a custom game, 1v1 a bot at bot lane, and only practice cs, don't touch the enemy. Don't buy any items. Aim for 100 creeps by 10 minutes, rinse and repeat until you achieve this.

  3. League is a team game, right? NOT IN BRONZE ITS NOT. You have to carry yourself out. Don't get hung up on that your team is doing. If someone says one negative thing, they are muted. They don't cooperate with you? DO what you can, don't rage, and if all else fails hope your next team is more cooperative.

When Season 5 comes, you will get into your promos. Focusing on these three tasks will place you in at least Silver II Season 5.

Good luck.

The only consistent thing between all your games is you. Get good enough, you win more. If you're not winning more, you need to get better to advance. And don't focus at all on any given game. You will have bad games, you will have bad teams. Do better, win more.

Look at your performance over a week, not in a game. I'm sure you have plenty of bad scores in your history too, like your team might have had in the narrow example. And if you really don't belong in a rating, play more. You'll either go up or down to where you "should PROBABLY" be. Whether you agree with it or not, lol.

It's not just about communicating more to get your team to listen to you. Lots of the non cooperative ones will want to inherently rebel thinking - he cant tell me what to do, I do what I want (bc he thinks hes better than everyone else)

Everyone at that level thinks everyone else is trash so they just do what they want and pretend to be a superstar hyper carry expecting other people to follow even if theyre 1-20. "OMG you suck you didnt peel for me! didnt tank for me! didnt follow me in!"

So rather than trying to tell them, show them. Crush lanes, crush CS & get fed. People will follow you then not only because they have a higher chance of survival but also to pick off a kill of their own if theyre staying around you & your zone of influence.

I'm right there with you. When you have a team that feeds over 50+ kills... It's hard to follow the most common advice people give.

  1. Get a kill, and follow up with an objective. If I'm ADC, and I kill the enemy ADC and Support, Yay get an objective!! Wrong. I now have a fed Mid, Jungle, and Top all coming down to join the party. What's my team doing? Mid's doing wraiths, Jungles is checking their red, and Top is running down river to join me as though he thinks they will wait for him before they initiate a fight? my death doesn't stop him though, he still runs into the 1v3 and when he dies comes to the conclusion that it's because the support didn't ward... or some other silly but similar scenario.

  2. Get the CS! Well.. I think this gets over-hyped to the point it begins to have a negative impact on performance. People take it WAY to far and miss opportunities to harass the other team because they feel missing 1-3 cs would put them WAY too far behind. They forget getting the tower is the objective not CS, that if they kill or push the enemy out of lane, they get free farm and if the enemy is chunked it's easier to deny them farm. Worrying about your own farm is too tunnel vision. Some take it so far that they blame low CS for the loss of the game, and that somehow their high CS made them more useful despite their lack of objectives/kills/map control etc.

Both of these tidbits of advice need to be expanded to something less situational and more universally useful. This is only good advice if you are not being zoned, not being camped by jungle, and not losing your lane, and everyone else on the map is having the same luck, and you have the luxury of choice. Otherwise what do you do?

These ARE important things most newbs need to learn. But I don't feel like above average players legitimately stuck in bronze are having these issues. I think it's the higher level concepts and decision making that gets us. If you're being zoned, what do you do? If you're being camped, what do you do? If you're against a Ashe/Sona or Caitlin/Soraka and the sustain and lane control is high and your cs is suffering and pushing is punished even harder, what do you do? What is the best use of your time when your lane is being bullied to the point that "improve your CS" and "get an objective" is no longer useful advice.

There's a plethora of advice people give.. but I honestly think when you're stuck. Level another account and re-place in ranked is good advice for legitimately stuck people. (I'm talking 100s of games and no rank gains.
