I just watched a guy with 1 hp who lost almost every round get a Force of Nature on Sol on Carousel

Remind me again why there's any reason to put any effort into this.

I've said if before and I'll say it again:

Winning in TFT feels FUCKING TERRIBLE.

Should there be comeback mechanics? Sure. It's nice to be able to make comebacks. But losing should NOT be better than winning, and in TFT it is.

The ideal way to play TFT is to be in last place until the victory banner. To get down to very little health while earning more money than anybody else because you get your loss streak and getting more and better items than anyone else as well because you get first pick off carousel.

Did that guy end up winning? I don't know, I died before they did and wasn't about to sit around spectating, but I know I've won with 1hp after losing all game before, and I wasn't any more impressed with the game then than I am now.

This. Is. Terrible. Design. No matter how much you want to worry about comeback mechanics, winning should never feel worse than losing. TFT is the only game I've ever played where I hate winning. Winning this game makes me want to quit the match. I should not be wanting to quit matches.

TFT needs to be redesigned so that winning feels better than losing.

Winning is waaay better than losing. Like, when this format first came out, people were happy losing because of the "advantages" or strong early economy & a better carousel pick. But that faded almost INSTANTLY once ranked hit and good players bashed those players right out of the game. That is an okay strat in low elos, but it falls off HARD. One bad fight where their team gets good RNG on crits or stuns or whatever...then that player is out of the game...just like that.

So, anyhow, watch all the best players(like myself with a nice 35% 1st place rate) and you will not see us trying to lose. There are RARE exceptions when RNG gives you nothing and you already have a loss streak that you want to milk before putting your foot to the gas.
