What happens to a summoner's champions when they're defeated?

Hey y'all!

For the life of me I cannot find an answer through google, any help would be greatly apprecaited:

When a summoner is defeated in TFT, what happens to their champions? Are they placed back in the pool or are they permanently removed from the board?

If I'm waiting forever for a Mordekaiser, and I knock out a guy with a gold one -- are there nine Mordes back in play? Or does my chance to get one remain the same? I know as you level you have a lower chance to see 1 gold cards, so I can't figure it out.

Thank you so much!

Would be good to know. Can we get a Rioter to confirm/deny units go back into the deck when player is defeated?

I can’t speak with much certainty, but I’m pretty sure that the champions are not added back into the deck after the summoner that owned them loses.

We don't know how it works here but in literally every other Auto Chess game dying causes all your champs to be added back into the pool. And from my experience playing I often end up finding units that aren't on the remaining players more easily.

I'm pretty sure it works no differently than if the champs were just sold; they get added back into the pool, equivalent to number used (3 for 2-star, 9 for 3-star). It might not be as noticeable for some people depending on the chance for different tiers (or "rarities") to show up, as the higher level you are (number of champs you can field) the more likely you are to roll higher tier champs, so it might seem like there aren't as many of lower tier champs back in the pool when (or perhaps if) there actually are.

I doubt they are. When I get to level 6 I usually just rerolling and trying to get level threes. For the entire game where I was 20hp against guy who was winning all game and had 85, by the game game finished I made about 50 rerolls. I was able to get 1 morde (the very last round - i was sitting on 2xl2+2xl1) and 2 garens (i was sitting at 2x l2 no l1). Yes the higher level you are the more expensive champions will show in the store but this is why I am not levelling up and rerolling from start. If those champions would be brought back to the pool and there are much more copies of gold1 champion (basically it seems up to three players are able to get level3 gold1 unit (though the last one will have very hard time doing that) than there are copies of gold2+ units) then it should be much easier to finalize your gold1 champions. In fact I doubt more than 1 player can have same gold2 unit at level3. And I never seen level3 gold3+ unit.
