Request for rule change to how gold is handed out for a kill on a feeder/troll/inter

I think a good way to counter trolls from running the game down and spoiling it for others is to adjust the gold compensation earned for killing someone who's died multiple times by the same person.

  • $400 gold for 1st blood
  • $300 gold for a kill For killing someone who subsequently has not gotten a kill since their last death:
  • $255 gold (85% of your previous value)
  • $217 gold (85% of your previous value)
  • $130 gold (60% of your previous value), but only if 1) killed within 120 secs from their last death, and 2) you were the last person to kill them; killed person gets 5 secs added to their spawn time
  • $78 gold (60% of your previous value), but only if 1) killed within 120 secs from their last death, and 2) you were the last person to kill them; killed person gets 5 secs added to their spawn time
  • $35 gold (45% of your previous value), but only if 1) killed within 180 secs from their last death, and 2) you were the last person to kill/assist them; killed person gets 10 secs added to their spawn time
  • $16 gold (45% of your previous value), but only if 1) killed within 180 secs from their last death, and 2) you were the last person to kill/assist them; killed person gets 10 secs added to their spawn time
  • All futures result in $10 gold, but only if 1) killed within 180 secs from their last death, and 2) you were the last person to kill/assist them; killed person gets 10 secs added to their spawn time

An option to offset the gold lost it can be placed by the player that earned the kill onto a different player other than the one killed; notifying that player that their bounty has increased as a result, so both the killer and the target are aware.

This would be my fix.

Currently it works like this:

Each champion is initially worth 300 gold, with the exception of whoever gives up first blood, that kill is 400 gold.

If you go on a death streak every subsequent death you are only worth 85% of your previous value. So say you die 3 times in a row. The first death you are worth 300, the second 255, the third 217, all the way down to 90 gold which is the minimum a champion kill is worth. The only way to break a death streak is if you get a champion kill, at which point your value resets to 300. Assists do NOT reset your value. Also being executed by a turret or minion does not decrease your value.

If you go on a kill streak your value increases. If you have a 5 kill streak and you die, you are worth 555 gold. This goes up all the way to 9+ kill streaks at which point you are worth 1000 gold.

To answer your original question: if you land the killing blow you receive the full value of the of kill. Anyone that damaged or debuffed the enemy champion, OR in some way buffed you, in the previous 10 seconds, gets an assist. 70% of the kill value is put into an assist pool and the gold is split equally amongst everyone who got an assist.

For example: Your jungler comes to gank bottom lane for you and your lane partner. The gank results in you killing both enemy champions and you got both killing blows.

You get 400 gold for the first blood kill. Your jungler and lane partner split 70% of this for assisting, so each gets 280/2 = 140 gold.

The second kill gives you 300 gold. Your jungler and lane partner split the assist gold which gives them each 210/2 = 105 gold.

That's not how it currently works. First death is 300 gold (+100 for first blood) 2nd death is 276 gold (92%) Then each subsequent death is worth 80% of the previous one, down to a minimum of 100 gold You also get bumped up 1 tier from assists or every 1000 gold earned from CSing, and a complete gold reset from a kill.

You copy pasted how kills are valued from all the way back in season 1.
