Balance and Riot don't go together. Like instead of normalizing the distribution of items, Riot gave us gold as a reward instead. Highly doubt you will see a fair game any time soon. League of Legends has always been a mess too. I remember it was always about finding out how to break a champion more than anything.

this game cannot have week meta, is not like league. You will have no choice otherwise follow the "meta of the week". Is boring and there is no strategy at all, is just "hey the balance team want this as the strongest thing this week".
IMAGINE a LCS, Worlds etc of TFT? a patch where all "pro players" will simply try to play the strongest thing of the patch lol... super fun
They plan on weekly balance updates. There should be a new patch one coming within the next day or two.
Assassins just scale too well tbh, when a single crit with the thicc buff pretty much oneshotting shit, and the crits that they deal with just the smol buff still hurting like hell. If they made it so that multiple had to be targeting the same target or isolating a target I could see it, but as of right now your only options are build PD's (which still means you have to deal with all of their fairly strong attacks and abilities) or out cc them, which relies on your teams targeting not bugging out, which is also harder since the assassins tend to spread out immediately with their jump passive
