Everyone is complaining about the RNG with items...but...
What if the rng was a deliberate means to keep people within a certain ELO, much like how SR matchmaking seems to turn ugly during promos? I’m probably way out of the loop with this theory but it’s been nagging me since TFT went live.
They just don't know how to balance the game mode. I really don't think there's a conspiracy other than that Riot just doesn't understand the autochess genre or how TFT is vastly different from them because of how important items/item stacking is.
These matchmaking conspiracies just do. Not. Exist.
