I like your analogy, and I similarly see this game as comparable to poker. However, the analogy falls apart when you note that it is not the type of items players are receiving that is the problem but rather the quantity of items. The analogy would be perfect if in poker each player was given a different number of cards. Player A gets two cards in his hand and they are both aces. That's great, however player B gets six cards in his hand. Now player A is no longer very happy to have to aces in his hand, as his opponent could very well have a much stronger hand (set, straight, flush, full house) simply sitting in his hand, plus he is much much more likely to have made a good hand when including the cards on the table. So yes, this game is a lot like poker in that the strategy involves making the best decisions with what you are given in terms of items and champions. That is all well and good for different types of items and different types of characters, but the main complaint is that one player can have four times as many items as another. That is not an exaggeration either; I have frequently gone up against players with four completed items when I have one, and I have also been on the other end of it. Getting random items is fine. Getting a random number of items is not. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
