I had a 2 star shen early on in game, but for the entire game was never able to pull a three star. No matter how I set up my comp or positioned myself, I still lose to the person that gets lucky and pull multiple 3 stars. To compare this to chess is an insult to chess. Chess requires strategy below grandmaster level. This shit is based on who gets lucky rolls and items.

I just going to say this: the pool of champions is shared. Have a good day.

Before the release of TFT, I thought it was all strategy in placing your army and shit.

But...you don't even need half a brain to play and win. All you need is chance.

I had to face 2 players with 4 champions with 3 stars and stacked up on items (like 6-8 items on both players). What did I have? 2 champs with 3 stars and 3 complete items.

I just went "okay fuck you riot," and left the game mode before it even ended. Getting 3rd place isn't even something to be proud of. The only benefit I got was getting the 1st victory mission completed and that's about it.

I win over half of my games and I never build 3-stars and I rarely try for them at this point. So why rage about 3 star champions. They don't win you. Compositions and items do.

Second place is pretty good tbh.

You had the misfortune of building what first place what going (Shen and Warwick), which means you're directly competing with the his build as well as. There's also some obfuscation in the level drop rates so if you were at level 8, Shen will appear less in your pool because 1 and 2 stars show up less. Your comp is also kind of a mess. It's a handful of "good units" with little synergy between them save Brawler which is...not great.

The champion pool is shared, so if there's only 20 total shens and someone else has 15 of them, well you're chances of getting the shens is pretty low. It's important to scout what your enemies are building both comp and item wise. Is someone else ahead of you in the shen race early? If so, you might want to formulate a different strat. (this is also why he has warwick faster than you).

Going into a game with a preset idea of what you want to build is almost always a bad idea if your goal is to win. Adapt to what people are doing and what rolls you are getting and build accordingly. IF you want to try a certain build no matter what, be prepared for games where someone else is taking the champs you need.

How the FUCK do you get stars on champions? All my champs in the gamemode have bronze thingys next to their health bar while the enemy has much tankier ones with silver or whatever on those champs. I can't find any Goddamn option in the game to understand this.

I just wonder, what we could see if we had replay of your game, I mean, what if you bought one/two/XY champs instead of saving 2 golds and then, bam, totally different comp. I think that many ppl are playing badly, they create strat beforehand(you have to to some extent), this isn't HS tho, you need different mindset. Luck is important, but so many ppl will stick with their strat instead of switching or at least having option to switch.

Yeah, items rng is bullshit, but it's still beta and I'm happy I don't have to wait for 10+ hours on PBE.

Shit always happened t me, early game gave me 3 of the same champs to upgrade them but then it just stopped giving me 3 of them after countless rerolls, wtf dude.

Irony Man996/28/2019, 7:22:41 PM1 votes

it's pretty hard to 3* a unit that costs more than 1 gold. Sure you got unlucky with Warwick but I doubt you would ever 3* Sejuani, Volibear or Chogath. Blitzcrank is also fairly uncommon. Generally trying to get 2 or more 1 gold champs to 3* is the way to go

We need a General store that offers all champions and higher rarities as you lvl up but make them expensive for one gold due to open selection.

This to me shows more you weren't willing to change up based on what was given you. There were several people with more 3 star champions that placed below you so your argument really doesn't hold up.

There are glaring issues in the game, like item distribution, but getting 3 star champions is not the requirement for winning a lot assume it is. Often champion synergy can win over amount of 3 star champions.

I get that denying champs other player need to get their 3 star is a strategy in tft and I don't have a problem with that. But I don't get how denying another person would help you get your own 3 star. If i fight in a late game battle and I have one 3 star champ and the other guy has 4, was he really spending every pool round denying one other player. And even if I don't get denied the chances of me getting the champ I need for a 3 star at the pool are almost as small.

Main question for me therefore is how do I get a little more consistency with getting at least 2 or 3 three star champions? is it 100% luck?
