The TFT changes ruined the balance of the game yes or no?

It seems like 2 synergy bonuses are way more powerful than 6. If you focus on one synergy you'll probably lose because getting a 6 stack bonus is no longer powerful but if you have 20 2 synergy bonuses you're super strong.

Yes, but I'm not that that's a bad thing at all. It's true, some of the 6-synergy bonuses are underwhelming. (That was also the case previously - the 9-sorc comp was actually lousy, and the 6 Shapeshifter comp was only conditionally good. Four Wilds was irrelevant after midgame, except when it was buffed.)

The bigger change, is probably the way that they adjusted damage (starting with the previous patch) so that late-game comebacks and eco-strats are a bit trickier to achieve. It's considerably more difficult to coast through early and mid games now.

In the previous TFT patch, I could get top 4 when I had multiple synergies rather than focusing on one synergy, so I don't feel like the new changes have ruined the balance of the game? But that's just my personal experience.

Previous TFT had a ton of 2 Set bonuses. One of the most powerful ones was Dragon which was way stronger than Crystal or Steel at raw survivability and all the Dragon units are high impact.

I feel the balance of Set 2 is poor but its definitely not something like the numbers required in order to get set bonuses. Even the ones that could be really abusive like Cloud or Desert are not that impactful given their numbers are pretty low, they're good add-on synergies but they don't break the game.

Honestly I feel the most broken ones are 3 breakpoint synergies. Poison, Inferno, Light, Summoner all come to mind. People are really insistant that Mages and Olaf comps are busted too, which both need 3 breakpoint synergies and the 2 breakpoint ones that fit in are secondary to the main power of the comp.

I prefer getting so much strenght from 2x Synergies. In set 1 i felt like I was forced to take one of the big 6x synergies and go with it. And when it comes to completing 6x synergies it's actually very RNG-dependant. Sometimes I rolled 100 gold to still not get the kayle or anivia I needed. I feel like set 2 is way more flexible with how I can round off my compositions.

Set 1 wasn't much different though, I rarely ever went for the 6 set bonuses because that means you commit to one thing and if you put all your eggs in one basket and it doesn't work out for you, you're really fucked.

6 zerkers seems really busted though, but I think that's largely just because Olaf is completely busted.

I like that synergies of 2 ~ 4 units can already be pretty good, especially when combined with other synergies because that way it becomes a game of combining different synergies that work well together and in my opinion that's more interesting that finding one strong synergy and committing to it.
