Get in the top four three games by scraping by with whatever you can manage to pull out of your ass with terrible RNG, climb maybe 60 points. Get seventh or eighth place one game because this game is fucking terrible, lose 40 points. Super fun.
Get smarter.
Let's say you get 3rd place 3 times in a row. That basically means you won 5 out of 7 matches 3 times, or 15 out of 21 matches. Now, say you ended up in 8th place the next game. That means you lost 7 out of 7 matches for that game. So in the 4 games you played, you won 15 out of 28 matches. That's only a 53% win rate. You should be up relative to where you started, but not by much.
You must take into account the ELO system ratings. High divisions you lose more and gain less LP. Lower divisions you lose less but win more LP.
