Will we ever get a second egg?

Hello,

I got my free egg. I chose the Demacian Silverwing and have been making non-stop garen jokes in TFT while playing that god awful screech that the bird does during battle as my war song.

So here's my question.

Why was I only given the option of the soft-nosed molediver, the Damcian Silverwing, or the sentinel runespirit? I would have liked to have had a hauntling instead because I am primarily a fan of the shadow isle champions and their lore. I don't have a lot of money sadly which is one reason why I choose to play league. it's f2p and the artwork is something to appreciate with something new to come back to every time i log in.

If it's meant to be a "starter" little legend, I feel like riot has missed a big opportunity to have faction battles or a giant vs event. I say that because we already have "shadow isle hautling" and "demacian silverwing". There are other little legends with skins that align somewhat to the factions/locations in league, but for the most part they're not very symbolic with what we've come to know the different areas for. I wish Riot had the foresight to have used poros to represent the freljord. The runespirit would make sense if used to represent the kumungu jungle. then we need something for ionia, bilgewater, shurima, targon, noxus, piltover, zaun, bandle city, etc.

And then that way whenever a new location gets added... say for instance the nation of ixtal, riot could release a new little legend pack with a little legend associated with that faction.

Of course there could be variations to all little legends with cool skins like how the demacian silverwing and shadow isle hauntlings have. These, in my opinion, should be the pay to earn random chance eggs. That way people can get their team mascot free and then get whatever else they want with cash. This is assuming that there will be more factions added, new culturally distinct champion concepts created, and important landmarks exploited.

taking this one step further since TFT is supposed to get a competitive ladder mode eventually - it would have been a lot more reasonable if the leveling up mechanic came from ladder placement instead of the duplicate eggs. I dont know what is in store for the ladder modes, so if it's something amazing that I can't imagine then by all means.

Maybe you think of me as an ungrateful peasant asking for handouts. Maybe I'm delusional. Maybe TFT is supposed to be just a gimmick mode to encourage players to spend money on gashapon cosmetics in order to extend the funding of league.

  • will there ever be a second egg for F2P players to earn? Because that's the only way i'm going to ever manage to earn eggs.

Not in the near future would be my guess. If I had paid 100$ to finally RNG into the 3-star Little Legend I wanted. I'd be pretty pissed to find players getting sth remotely as cool for free. No reason for the company to upset ppl who spent $$$.

my guess is theyll throw in the occational random egg in on future events. probably for tokens like the orbs.

but since you need to get lucky enough to roll the exact same one 3 times to fully upgrade it, they could probably throw a dozen eggs out for free and youre still unlikely to even get to a 2 star that you want.
