Explain to me the appeal of TFT.

I would like anyone reading this who genuinely enjoys TFT to explain the appeal of the game to me. With as much detail as possible, tell me why you think it's a good 'game'.

Here is my current opinion on the 'game'. -It's a blatant cash grab for Riot. "Little Legends" are going to keep being released for more and more money, on top of that, getting a good one is RNG. -A game this simple with very little game play elements takes 40 minutes, which is way too long to sit at my chair and do little to nothing. -The entire fate of the game relies in RNG -Unlike League, you're unable to use skill to try and comeback from a bad game, it all comes down to luck. In League, you can be 0/10 and comeback if you manage to be good enough -On average, there's only 2-3 "builds" or "comps" you can use to actually win ranked games, the balancing is so off that if you use anything else but the current meta, you'll lose. -This last one isn't really an opinion, but this crappy game is being kept permanent while actually good gamemodes like URF or Nexus Blitz, And even kept over Twisted Treeline.

Now that you've read that, my final opinion on this game is that it won't last a full year until it's just as dead as TT. Now that you've heard my opinions, please, try to explain to me what you find appealing about this game, explain to me why there are a bunch of people who think that this 'game' is one of the best releases of the year, when in my humble opinion, it's a glorified rip-off mini-game designed for making money.

I am a mother of 4 (and just had a baby this past December) with a full time job. My job, by itself, is not particularly difficult, but because the way I do my job affects my coworkers' paychecks, THEY make life stressful for me. I enjoy League. I enjoy playing ranked matches, but my real life responsibilities make it difficult to sit down and play a ranked match, or at least peacefully. Between having to get up at unpredictable times to take care of my young child, my older kids coming in right at the beginning of a teamfight to complain that one of their siblings called them a poo-poo head, and general League toxicity, I flip out and it has taken a toll on my mental health. In an effort to be a good mom and girlfriend, I swore off League for a while. With the release of TFT, I am able to play League again. My keyboard is not required, so I can play while rocking my baby to sleep or breastfeeding, and because there's not much I have to really do, I can change a diaper, or pop something in the microwave during a game without a change in outcome. I love that it's a free-for-all because that eliminates all toxicity. Nobody ever really talks in my games. The RNG makes luck a factor in who wins, making losses easier to accept and 1st place is not required to gain LP.

it's the same reason people enjoy Chess; It's about the strategy of the game.

You are right in some respects, much of the game is RNG, not just Champs but Items and also who you are playing as well; with all these unknown elements that's how you measure skill because there are so many 'moving pieces', so many variables; so many ppl trying to make their own comps and all sorts of different things you are playing against.

This is the appeal and this is the game; it's about having an idea of what you want to do, but also what your opponents are doing (remember you can always see their positioning and champs) and when all of these elements combine you get a very complex game, although it does and can seem simple when you are new to it but the more you play the more you see the layers of decision making that is required.

There are many limitations as well which even further increase the difficulty in what can be done. in some cases it's possible there is no 'right' answer/play but only the play that is the least 'wrong'.

I'd say TFT and AutoChess in general is more similar to the complexity of real time war more so than traditional Chess but that's just me i suppose.
