Personal Opinion: Board Size Increase would weaken OP characters without needing a nerf.

Right now, three of the strongest characters are Aurelion Sol, Draven and Vayne. Vayne/Draven can easily become hyper carries with a few items while Aurelion can blast a whole metric ton of units with his breath ultimate.

However, if the board size is increased, these units become worse. For one, corner camping is harder because units can't attack from ranged as easily and are forced to step up, freeing a backline for assassins to dive into. Second, the increased size mean that there is more room to maneuver. Aurelion's shout taking up 1-2 rows now is a lot more manageable when your units can be MUCH more spread out. Most of all, this still allows for both players to play wise with positioning and plan out their fights better.

Board size can be a tool for us to weaken strong characters without having to tweak their specific numbers.

Most of the targeting parameters need fixed for that though. It's so hard for Zed/Mord to hit multiple people. I don think Volibear bounces beyond one square, but Brand has like 3 squares to jump?

Honesetly adding one more row or column would do the trick

Andother row would mean there's some neutral area to create distance. What I'd prefer personally is another column, its less overall space but its more horizontal space which makes respositioning to deal with assassins or shifting your army is much more managable.

Regardless, 6x7 is definitely substantially more limited than 8x8. Each side is dealing with 21 instead of 36 spaces. Positioning skill is pretty nerfed by it even if its still important to winning.

When watching Streamer or when playing TFT some Champions AFK. So I see what you are saying about increasing the board size.. also Why Hexs in a Square?

I don't think that will happen, they would have to completely redesign the play area vs. nerfing a few champs/comps that probably need nerfs. Voli was way broken and they fixed that quick. TFT really just needs to be balanced around Garen in terms of strength.
