There is legitimately no reason for them to be in this game mode. The only way they get used is for toxicity. Get rid of them.
Or at least give us a tab menu where we can mute them. I'm so tired of sitting through games where people are spam pinging all game long because there's nothing anyone can do about it.

Pings aren't even half as bad as the spamming emote/joke/taunt/dance or whatever it is that the avatars do. Players don't even wait for the damn function to finish, they spam the button so that it sounds unlike how it's supposed to sound. This abuse has existed in the game for years and they still haven't fixed it so that the command just follows through instead of allowing only the beginning part of it to be heard again and again and again and again and again times infinity.
When there's a flood of gifted subscriptions, Streamlabs on Twitch doesn't try to destroy our ear drums by playing only the beginning part of the notification again and again and again. Instead, it plays the entire notification as many times as commanded to. That's how the pressing a button to taunt or whatever function is being pressed should perform.

They just need to add all the mute options just like in Summoner Rift, especially for those annoying chirps.

I Agree 100% plain and simple. No point to Pings besides spamming and being annoying and toxic.
I get so annoyed when people danger ping the champ they want in carousel. It distracts me from trying to pick my own champ/ makes me want to just go take what they are pinging out of spite even if there's a different champ or item I really need instead.
Agreed! I have muted ping sound, but seeing the ping icon on the map is annoying af.
I at least would like the option to mute players the same way in a regular game. Just let us hit tab and turn off pings or chat from whomever is hurting the experience.
while i agree with them not having any reason to be in tft, actually its the first time in ages that i saw pings not being used in a toxic way. usually when 2 kassadins both with noble buff are the last alive and "fight" each other, theres a ? pingspam. but its more funny than anything else to me.
When someone is running a dumb comp and not econing but is in first place because they got lucky with match ups/ items, I have to spam the ashe laugh emote to bm as I destroy their team comp and then tell them that they're pathetic and got lucky in chat. You guys might think I'm being sarcastic, but I'm not. I have a deep rooted hatred for every opponent I face in autochess games and I don't know why. If you face me on TFT and you're not at the very least at Hafu/Dog's level (two streamers), expect me to bm you extremely hard. God why am I so mean when it comes to TFT? Like I literally want my opponents to suffer and I don't know why. I'm a support main, but when I play tft I turn into an adc main. I need helppppp. Like I want them to BURN for just being in the same match as me like they don't deserve my presence and I know that's evil to say but I fucking hate them and I don't even know them like AHHHH.

Muting them is a good idea. I think theyre fun. I use them but not to be toxic. I don't spam ping just because I win or loose a round, I ping to be annoying, but usually only on carousel rounds. ;P
I mean really the most annoying part is when you hear the pings but they are on someone else's board so you can't even see them or what they are pinging. Pointless annoyances.
