@Riot: Put the "Team" in Team Fight Tactics

Can't sleep until I get this into a post. This is one thing that could really help differentiate Team Fight Tactics (TFT) from those other guys. If you guys like this idea please add more thoughts to help this build some traction.

Team games should be introduced into this game genre. Make a duos and squad mode for this game.

I feel like TFT already has the layout to make this happen. The way I envision this being possible is.

  1. Give every player their own health pool. This would allow the carrousel to remain how it is.

  2. Make it so that a player is not eliminated until all of his teammates have been eliminated.

  3. When a players health reaches 0, any subsequent damage will be transferred evenly amongst all of his teammates.

  4. In order to maintain the carrousel function the total health a player has lost including the damage distributed to teamates will still be recorded. I.e. 150 damage taken picks before 130 damage taken.

  5. Make it so that during pvp rounds you can only face players on a different teams. I feel like this shouldn't be so hard to implement since the game already pairs players up. In this mode you would never have an odd number of players and their would always be a player for each person to face.

  6. In the event that two teams are eliminated at the same time. The team that took the most damage during the game will receive a lower ranking in the game.

I already enjoy playing this game with my friends and would love to see this happen. Thanks for taking the time to read my thoughts and hope you all like this idea!

I had some additional thoughts on what the future of this game mode could evolve into.

  1. Players could have a shared item pool. The way i see this working is the items could be placed in an item bank on the bottom right corner of each teammates board. One team member could withdraw an item from the team item bank, however, this item will no longer be accessible for the rest of the team members. This could be balanced so that a member can not withdraw more than their equal share of the items from the item bank. If the bank reaches overflow capacity then items will begin to be distributed equally starting with the members who have withdrawn the fewest items from the bank.

  2. Squad and Duos minion waves. The way I see this is that players would be faced up against a more difficult minion wave but at the same time with their teammates. A larger tactics board would need to be created just for these minion waves. This would end up looking like a "cardboard box with the flaps hanging out". The boss wave would be placed on the inside of the tactics boards and the members of each team would be placed on their own wing "flap" and would be able to position their units in order to optimally defeat these boss minion waves.
