Mobile content loss?

If you just have to have the newest Little Legends now, hop on to League’s PC Client and you can purchase the content there. Just be sure to open any eggs you get on PC before going back to your phone.

That sounds vaguely ominous. What happens if someone goes back to the phone without opening eggs first? If they aren't openable on mobile and you have to go back to the PC to open them, no big deal, but then this statement is worded misleadingly. It almost sounds like you could lose unopened content if you access the mobile version.
