Level 2 and Level 3 unit upgrades feel underwhelming visually.

The added visual effects to upgraded units feel really lackluster, just making the model a little bit bigger and giving a glow effect to their weapon and some highlight on them like their pauldrons. In Dota auto chess, the unit progression feels so nice because of the way the upgrades look, whereas in the current TFT it just feels like stats.

I had no game to compare this design to, but I sort of agree with this as it's hard to tell if enemy units are 2 stars since barely anything is changed (3 star units have a nice change in health bar).

The game is still in ALPHA or maybe it's in BETA. IT'S SUBJECT TO CHANGE!

People like you that expect non-finished game as if they were finished make me sick.

Just saying these things aren't always major in other Auto Chess games, though DAC does have alternate skins for a number of heroes. Someone like Mars just gets bigger and a lightning bolt at rank 3 though. So its not consistent.

Other games I've seen have minor alterations as well. Gold weapons are fine though most of these champs have alternate skins that could make a good, obvious flair for Rank 3.
