So been playing team fight tactics and something I have noticed is higher level avatars move faster win selecting a champion so I got curious as to how to get my upgraded avatar and realized the only way to upgrade them is to spend riot points not blue essence am I the only person who sees this as a problem? Does this mean that this is going to be in ranked?
I highly doubt that this is actually a thing.
There is absolutely no effect on the game depending on your Little Legend, whether it's the free River Sprite or a tier 3 Legendary. Whatever you might've seen you are mistaken what's going on.
you're imagining things.
you dont get any speed buffs. your little legends movement speed is the same as everyone else's. the only difference leveling up does is it makes the model look slightly different and at level 3 you get some sort of sparkle or aura.
I really havent seen any evidence of that in my games and I use the freebie lil legend.

No. You need to understand one thing right now and that is Riot as a company internally has issues. But they stay internal and generally don't bleed onto the game modes.
I say this because the idea of making a pay-to-win mechanic in League of any aspect would be like opening another battlefront with multiple countries while in the middle of a civil war. It would completely undermine the years of relative trust the company has gained with the playerbase when it comes to the micro-transaction economy.
So no, there is no pay-to-win. You are probably lagging and the game is playing catch-up or you're staying too hard at the avatars and is making you delusional.
