Additional permissions for PBE?

Do i need additional permissions to log onto the pbe for teamfight tactics? I feel like im getting trolled. Position in queue is over 9000, and the estimated wait time increases the longer i wait (started at 5 hours, currently at 28 hours). I tried to google search for what could be wrong, but google always seems to let me down when it comes to finding LoL related information.
