My thoughts on TFT in its current state

We already know items are getting tweaked, so I won't even get into that. We spoke, riot listened. GG riot. (I am afraid that they may have overcompensated though, making the game more about item management than it should be)

  • Elementalist 3 piece buff. Like holy shit, its so easy to get and that stupid golem is ridiculously tanky. Why don't you go ahead and take about 20% off 'er, bud.

  • 6 piece Noble needs less armor than the random buff from 3 piece. 6 piece should give like 80 to all, not 100.

  • 2 piece glacial freeze % needs nerfed. Shouldn't be able to carry yourself through most of the game just with a item 3124 item 3094 Ashe and little else. I'm pretty ok with the 4 piece and 6 piece because you're fairly unlikely to get it. But 2 piece is incredibly easy to fit into a vast number of comps, and is way too strong for how easy it is to get. Especially if you do item 3094item 3161 item 3124 Volibear with it. its disgusting.

  • Kassadin needs to have a mana bar that gives him a much, much larger shield. Why not use his Q from SR? That's how the champ ACTUALLY works. He's just stupid broken right now with things like item 3146 item 3080 item 3124 item 3083 and zeke's herald. Another champion that can single-handedly carry you into the mid/late game.

  • Elise mana generation is way too damn slow. I find myself passing her up or selling her for items more often than not. She scales really well, and she's a great addition to a shapeshifter comp, but she's just so painful to have on your team early. Best thing to do with her is just bench her until you can get her to level 2 or even level 3, or get a item 3003 item 3161 item 3124 on her. She's pretty worthless as a level 1 champ, though. Could use some love in the early parts of the game to make her viable while you build up your shapeshifter comp. Even then, we all know Gnar is the real MVP. So elise is just kinda there to give gnar a buff. #Feelsbad

  • Another champion whose only purpose is to buff their better counterparts is Fiora. I bench her the moment I see a Kayle Leona unless I'm specifically trying to get a 6 piece noble, and even then I hate having her on my team. Feels like a wasted slot. You can stack her with all the items you want, she's still garbage. Same for RekSai . She's just a filler until Chogath comes along, and then its right in the trash can with her.

  • Yordle buff feels great exactly the way it is. This will change based on the state of balance for champs like Poppy Tristana . Poppy is easily one of the worst tanks, and tristana is middle of the road for gunslinger at best. Easily outshined by Lucian Graves . But the yordle 6 piece buff is fantastic. Its very strong, but really requires some investment to get. But when you get it, all the pieces just kinda seem to fit together. There's plenty of ways to beat it, but if you don't itemize against it or run the right champions -- it'll getcha. Of all the compositions, I think this is the most fun and the most balanced for the effort involved in completing it.

  • Sorcerer, on the other hand -- feels like it doesn't know WHAT it wants to be. Just a bunch of nuclear fireballs flying in any which direction, and heaven hope you hit what you wanna hit, or it crumbles incredibly quickly. The only front line you get is Kassadin who is absolutely hard-countered by an ionic spark or two, so there's a chance he just melts. Then you've got a bunch of squishy glass cannons who just disintegrate if they get hit by CC or assassins. If you can manage Knights or Brawlers + Sorcerers, then good for you. But if you don't get a good front line going, this comp is absolute trash. The problem is that in order to get a good front line going, you have to spend your gold on tanks, which means you're NOT spending gold on making your sorcerers better -- many of which rely on level 2, level 3 to actually be good.

  • Last but not least, if you can manage to get two two-star item 3161 item 3003 Pyke you basically just win. Your two pykes just run around stunning everything all the time, and that's just the game. Its ridiculously broken. Combine that with some glacial stuff, maybe even get a item 3022 on one of your pykes, and your opponent just doesn't get to play TFT. His cooldown on his ult needs to be lengthened, or his mana regeneration needs to be lowered, or the width or length needs to be nerfed -- I don't know, but pyke is absolutely bonkers, especially if you're lucky enough to get two two star pykes with mana items. Hypothetically, with the right carousels -- you could have a 3 star pyke and a 2 star pyke. Eff. That.
