It's not the same. OP is looking for lesbian league buddies, and didn't say they would like non-straight league buddies. It's not exclusion based on a negative perception of someone, but inclusion based on a positive perception of someone. It's like looking for people who like the same music as you. It's not because you ABSOLUTELY DON'T WANT people who like a different type of music, it's because you WANT people who like -that- type of music.
I'm fairly sure OP doesn't categorically refuse to associate with heterosexual people. Let's be honest, that kind of behaviour usually comes from the other side of the court.

It's not discrimination unless the OP categorically refuses to play League with heterosexual people. They just want some friends that are like them, and it in no way suggests they don't have or would turn away friends who are not like them with regards to sexual orientation. They are probably merely looking for more people similar to them that they can be comfortable around.
Analogies are only useful arguments if they make practical sense and contain common sense. Sort your logic out.

I understand, but being a lesbian is not inherently sexual. A lesbian is able to hang out with other girls (been they heterosexual, bisexual, lesbian, else) in a strictly platonic manner, so the fact your first association was hookups is a bit unfortunate.

Firstly, being a part of a discriminated minority and looking to play with people of that same minority is not the same as being a part of a majority and looking to play with a majority. There is no particular need to specifically seek white heterosexuals, since you're likely to run into them anyway. Being heterosexual and white means most of the Western world is catered towards you anyway, so whatever you're looking for is probably there without you asking for it. Not to mention that the way in which non-straight and non-white people have to deal with being directly treated as less than, precisely because of their identities, gives them a different relationship to it than what a white heterosexual (male) would have with theirs.
Secondly, looking for players based on identity and interest is not the same as making a dismissive comment on how you'd like to play with hot chicks that you imagine sucking your dick. That much should be obvious, Bnavidad.
Thirdly, what was the point in derailing this post with this nonsense? A person should be able to recruit a team without being met with (falsely) accusatory and 'hahaha lesbians' comments. Why did you feel invited to reply, since it's clear this thread isn't addressing you? Next time, don't.
