so plat 3 would be considered low-high elo ? and you are an adc main? so according to the boards if you arent high elo you know nothing of the game... that being said if you are plat 3 and an adc main and one trick kog as adc then he would be a viable pick in your hands?

plat 3 is not high elo its not low either a lot of plat player beat out d1's in mechanics i see it all the time the issue is decision making bad habits hold plat players back horribly a jayce 1 trick raped doublelift about a year back he was plat 3 and doublelift was climbing and saying he had challenger mechanics but he was bad at decision making now he is master tier after he realized is flaws. kog is also not viable its like saying that gosu playing vayne is viable but he hold himself back to entertain by doing it. vayne is ass in 95% of the situations. that is why a 600lp challenger player is now d2. Because he plays vayne because he is know for it even though its a bad pick.

so you are saying it is possible to have game knowledge and understand the game on a higher level with out being as mechanically gifted as others and you can be mechanically gifted and be dumb regarding the game ?

and that rank isnt necessarily a true evaluation of both because they are separate but when combined is how you get people diamond 2 and higher , mastery and challenger tiers.

Yea it is very possible most lcs coaches are not challenger master tier they are just normal like diamond players but they understand the fuck out of the game and can coach them on it. Another big factor probably the biggest aside from game knowledge and mechanics is consistency yea you might go win a game and carried the fuck out of it but if you can not maintain that then you won't climb. Consistency is key. I fuck around a lot very inconsistent. If i played my best every game I believe i would be around d3 but I don't and I deserve plat.

just remember the actual point of the game is to have fun and enjoy it.

here is a though about rank...

rank isnt something to be ashamed of. i feel rank is just a way for riot to put players of similar skill levels vs each other so they can have fair games and enjoy and have fun playing the game... hear me out...

you are bronze.. what if every game you matched vs plats and diamonds? and you get stomped up and down the map and the game is no fun to you.. are you likely to keep playing if that is what happens every time?

on the other hand if your plat/diamond whatever "high" elo if you playing vs people lower skill level then you is that fun not every being challenged? it would be like if you were to go play a game co op vs bots or a custom game vs bots and the difficult is set on easy?

how fun is that?

so in theory rank is there to put us vs people we have a chance to win against while being challenged so the game is fun and rewarding at the same time and keeps you playing..

I play ranked because it is more fun that normal games by far I think dynamic q was a horrible decision. Being placed against better people does not mean that I am not going to have fun when I first started to play the game in late season 4 I had never played a moba before my friends told me to play they where all gold/plat at the time they played norms with me and I always laned vs golds and plat once i hit like level 20. I think this definitely had a impact on how well i played. Example if i lane against a bronze 5 every game i am only going to learn to be good enough to beat him. If I lane vs a plat every game and get stomped I am for dam sure going to get good enough to beat plat players. If I am only going against bronze players then I am not going against something that is going to help me to get better if anything playing in a lower elo hurts you by creating bad habits. When you go against Higher elo players you pick up on the little things that they do also know as "macro play" . Bots are simply stupid would never play bots unless a friend had to play to get level 3 on a smurf. IF playing vs lower elo players and I get a lot of kills its fun until they surrender but it is not as satisfying. In theory you are right but the main reason people play ranked is not for the ability to play against people at the same level its simple to get a higher rank I know that is why I play ranked but then again I play ranked like they are normal's half the time I have like 40 Draven jungle games in ranked and I didn't do good I was just having fun doing it. I had like a 38% win rate on it lol. I only play normal's when I want to grind really hard to learn a champion such as riven who is very mechanically challenging then I will take what I have learned and apply it to a ranked game.
