The past two seasons I have been in platinum. I got placed in silver after doing my placements. I'm looking for someone that's hopefully in a similar situation as me. Add Gwasted

Not really....the other obvious reason could be that he bombed his placements. Had a friend who was Plat 3 go 2-8 in placements get Silver 1. The reason you stated mostly applies when you go 10/10 or something and still drop a league.
