League of Legends Academy (LoL Academy) Looking for Members!
What's up everyone, I'm Jungler Senpai, currently Silver II, and I'm looking for League players from around the same Elo who are open-minded, competitive, and would like to work with a team of players to not only improve themselves in Solo Queue, but also climb the Ranked 5s ladder together. As a team, the environment will be strict sometimes, but fun at others. So there will be a few rules.
Real quick, I only have a few of them:
-
You will be assigned a duo partner based on your role. You guys don't have to duo ranked if you guys aren't comfortable with each other at the start, but you will have to at least duo in Draft pick. This is to build synergy with your role partner.
-
Raging won't be accepted. While I will understand if you get particularly salty about a certain situation, like being camped, or your mouse freezing up in the middle of a solo kill, I won't accept a consistent toxic attitude or consistently raging every time something doesn't go your way. Team environment is the most important thing to me. I don't mind if your not a god at your role, that's why we're practicing, but I do mind if your attitude is bringing everyone else down.

More of a corollary than a rule, but you must be able to take criticism. Everyone, including me will be criticized at one point or another. None of us are perfect, and often the best way to improve is by taking advice from someone who can look at your play objectively. On that note, you must also be able to give good criticism. I mean this in two ways. 1) If you don't know what someone's doing wrong, then it's often best not to comment. If you're a top lane main who has never played Jungle, then you probably can't give any advanced and well thought-out advice about how the Jungler should play. Also, if you're giving advice, try to give it politely. Don't address it during a game, but instead bring it up during a group chat. Don't just try to point out a major flaw in someone's play in the middle of a game, or you might sound antagonistic.
With those 3, more like 2, rules out of the way, I'll just get right to it: How to apply. There are 9 spots on a team, 5 positions. Meaning I'm accepting applications for 2 people per role. Since there's only 9 spots though, one role won't have a dedicated sub, but could share subs. Meaning a jungle sub who can also sub for support. We currently have 1 support, and 1 ADC.
In a comment below, put your current rank, your main role, a secondary role if you desire, then link your op.gg. Your top 6 most played champions should be some sort of indication to your champion pool.
NOTE: I would honestly prefer people around Silver, high bronze to low gold is the official markers, so that no one in the team feels superior or inferior to another based on their rank. I'll be accepting applications until Sunday 3 PM EST, and i'll be contacting people throughout the week. Thank you, and have a nice day.
EDIT: Forgot about this part, thanks for reminding me Lord Knife Cat. Any newbie coach/analyst wanting to practice that role, don't be shy to post below as well, I can have the games recorded then send you guys the link and even have you on board during team talks if you want to try your hand at theorycrafting! Cheers!
EDIT: ALRIGHT. I'm getting a lot more requests for ADC then I ever really anticipated. So, I came up with a sort of solution. I'm going to also be looking for someone to be my co-captain. I had another team set up, one for practicing in ranked 5s, and one for try-hard ranked 5 games. But, since so many people are interested in adcing and such, my co-captain will be captain on the other team, and he'll be able to lead them with me. This pretty much allows for double the space, AND the ability to have custom game scrims. So, if you're interested, feel free to make a note in your app that you're up for the responsibility, and I'll contact you.

I would be honored to be a part of this :)
Own, but need more practice:
