Gold+ 5s Team LFM

ixi Josh Sand··1 votes·740 views

Recruiting semi-serious players for a 5s team. Semi-serious meaning players that are interested in playing competitively and improving - not looking for players just trying to farm up for a ward skin.

We are building a roster of about 9 or 10 players, to ensure that practices will reliably happen, with the off chance of doing an in-house scrim.

If all goes well, we may take the team into an amateur league next year.

Requirements:

Gold+ Rank - Either this season or previous seasons is fine.

Discord - You dont have to necessarily speak, but its important that you are able to hear calls.

Not a douche - Edgy and satirical humor is fine, but overtly racist, sexist, or homophobic slurs will get you booted. Same goes for unsolicited creepy behavior.

If you are interested in trying out, fill out the following application, and we will reach out to you. The tryouts process will take a few games each, so dont rush yourself. Take your time to help us get to know you as a player.

Timezone / Availability:- EST 7:00pm -12am most weekdays and a few times on weekends

Rank history: -s3 silver, s4 gold s5 gold

Primary / Secondary Role: -ADC/ Top. Can also mid relatively well.

Favorite Champs: -Ezreal, Cait, MF and Twitch

Strengths: -When i get a good start i can carry through the rest of the game.

  • I have improved on my csing and overall patience with mistakes over the last 2 years. -I have alot of learned patience

Weaknesses:- I don't like hindsight during the game, for example, if i make a mistake and build the wrong item, and someone tells me 10 minutes later i should do x y and z instead, it tilts me. Tell me after the game, not after i cant refund the thing.

  • Im hard on myself for giving early game kills -I can be very competitive.

Do you watch the Pro scene or streamers? Why? -I don't, I find that the pros play too differently in a much different environment, requiring the diamond-challenger level teammates to rely upon and build off of. If i were to make the same plays or builds in gold, i would most likely not achieve the same results.

What could you contribute to a team environment?- I communicate well and I have a pretty good sense of humor. I can handle criticisms and know how to give it constructively. I also know better than to tell people their mistakes during the match they made them in.

Have you ever had a conflict with a peer, teammate, or coworker? If so, what happened? I Have had a few conflicts on league with potential teammates. Usually its a result of frustration from ill performance talked about after a losing streak of 3-5 games. I work well on teams with people willing to admit their faults, and work to get better. Sometimes when someone vehemently denies they make a mistake it gets overbearing.

Are there any personality types that are hard for you to get along with? Stubborn inflexible people will bring the worst out of me. The types that cant take what they dish out.

  • **Timezone / Availability: ** Pacific timezone, available evenings and weekends
  • **Rank history: ** S3 Silver 1, S4 Gold 3, S5 Plat 3, S6 Gold 1
  • **Primary / Secondary Role: ** Jungle, Support (limited champion pool)
  • **Favorite Champs: ** Quinn, Morgana, Maokai, Shyvana, Volibear, Hecarim, Leona
  • **Strengths: ** Shotcalling. Spent most of Season 5 on a ranked team and I was the primary shotcaller. Very very good communicator, level head, good at making comebacks and not throwing a lead. Control flow of the game. Also the game knowledge that comes with being able to shotcall
  • Weaknesses: Mechanics. Quite simply, I was unable to play league consistently during the spring and summer, and my mechanics aren't what they used to be. However I'm regaining form at a decent rate.
  • Do you watch the Pro scene or streamers? Why? I watch the pro scene but not streams. I like team sports and I feel like LCS is very similar.
  • What could you contribute to a team environment? Tons of 5's experience and very good at maintaining a constructive atmosphere.
  • Have you ever had a conflict with a peer, teammate, or coworker? If so, what happened? Not as much with me directly, but I was often the mediator of other people's disputes. I'd talk with both sides individually and work out a resolution.
  • Are there any personality types that are hard for you to get along with? Like most people, I'm not a fan of overly cocky or arrogant people. Other than that no.

Strengths: Strong laner, patient, team player. Have been a member of multiple competitive teams in the past.

Weaknesses: Pretty shy, not too decent at warding

Do you watch the Pro scene or streamers? Why? Occasionally. I mainly have a few streamers that I watch and hang out in.

What could you contribute to a team environment? I like to give feedback on how the games go. I have pretty decent game knowledge.

Have you ever had a conflict with a peer, teammate, or coworker? If so, what happened? Yes, but we were able to talk about it as a group and work around the differences.

Are there any personality types that are hard for you to get along with? Not really. All people have their quirks, but you try and work around that and get along with everyone.

IGN / Age: Stanlee8 19 Timezone / Availability: Central, everyday from 2pm-2am Rank history: S5 bronze S6 Gold Primary / Secondary Role: Support, Jungle Favorite Champs: Nautilus, thresh. Strengths: Versatile playstyle, Mastery of support role and all champions in support. Team player, Unselfish and just want to get the win. Weaknesses I have only been playing for 2 seasons so i have much less experience but spend alot of time researching and learning everything there is to know about the macro game. Do you watch the Pro scene or streamers? Why? I watch LCS matches constantly, often to pick up new strategies that are not tested at my ELO. What could you contribute to a team environment? I'm a team player and do not give up on games when behind Have you ever had a conflict with a peer, teammate, or coworker? If so, what happened? Yes, I had an issue with a bronze team mate of mine last season in regards to his constant tilting and giving up whenever his lane fell behind. I hate when people are unwilling to try to come back in games. Are there any personality types that are hard for you to get along with? People that tilt and flame their team for their own mistakes.

IGN / Age: iamblamb 28

Timezone / Availability: Central - after 9 and all day on weekends (most of the time)

Rank history: Peaked at plat in S4, Gold since. (the struggle is real)

Primary / Secondary Role: Jung/MId/Support

Favorite Champs: Eve, Vi, Sej, Kata, Veig, Sona and Thresh

Strengths: Objective control, Peeling the carries, positioning as a carry

Weaknesses: I favor a balls to the wall aggressive playstyle.

Do you watch the Pro scene or streamers? Why? Yes, to learn more about the game

What could you contribute to a team environment? Mad skills. Honing everyone in on potential picks, objective control and kill order.

Have you ever had a conflict with a peer, teammate, or coworker? If so, what happened? That's not a real question is it? Unless you're defining conflict as an altercation I believe conflict is a large part of human interaction. How can we learn if we don't disagree with each other?

Are there any personality types that are hard for you to get along with? People who like debating (devil's advocate) or snarky ppl.

IGN / Age: Topdudebroguy / 26

Timezone / Availability: CST/varies due to work

Rank history: Silver in season 2/3, plat 4 S4, current gold 3

Primary / Secondary Role: Mid/top

Favorite Champs: Ekko Cassiopeia Viktor Irelia Gangplank

Strengths: Communication, champion knowledge, team fighting

Weaknesses: early CSing, warding in lane g Do you watch the Pro scene or streamers? Why? I watch both scene and streams. Partly for entertainment and partly to learn ways I can improve

What could you contribute to a team environment? I bring diversity. I can play from behind, as well as play low economy or hyper carry. I also have shot calling experience, and with proper vision can track the enemy jungle movements decently.

Have you ever had a conflict with a peer, teammate, or coworker? If so, what happened? Plenty of times for coworker, peers, and a few with team mates. Sometimes personalities just don't mesh with mine. I remain respectful, but am also blunt. If someone does something bad, or bluntly ignores a call the team agrees on it I will ask them why and tell them they need to listen better to what the team wants not what they want to do.

Are there any personality types that are hard for you to get along with? I don't get along well with very abrasive or blaming types of people. I get I have bad games, but don't point out every thing I do wrong unless you have ways I can improve as well. All about being constructive
