Depends if the player actually knows general knowledge on how to play a moba, if they were matched up against a bunch of high levels which tends to create those ridiculous factors which i tend to see when you have the wrong key mastery or no mastery at all vs one who does. Because either of them i tend to see would ruin a game, well on top of having no runes at all but players can easily buy tier 2 runes for 1 ip each so a single match could net you pratically all the 'general' runes you need to build your kits on tier 2 runes till you can get tier 3.
Would be nice if they close the gap a little bit between rune differences and maybe slash some rune costs too, very least i would say 2 quins should probably be the same cost as a 6300 champion at least instead of basically costing the same as a champion or 2/3rds of one, considering what you are putting down for it whether its RP or IP.
Hell they should just change it to general type of 'tier 3 runes' are extremely low cost or 1 ip while more unique ones like movement speed, cool down, critical chance, respawn time, gold earning, scaling stats, etc. should require some extra investment so all players at least reach the even playing ground much quicker and if they want to create some off-general builds or follow some, they have to work for it instead.
