Coach / Analyst Looking For Serious Teams

Hello, names Scaythe. Been playing league since the beginning of Season 3. I've watched hundreds of LCS games, played in roughly 800 normals and played my fair share of the ranked game scene.

But what I really excel at is coaching.

So far, in my coaching "career" I've achieved the following.

  1. Coached a team of Bronze 4-1 players to Gold 3
  2. Coached a team of Silver/Bronze Players to Platinum 4
  3. Coached a team of mixed Unranked/Bronze/Silver to a Second Place Finish (Lost by double elimination) in a Gold Ranked Tournament.

So suffice to say I know how to make bad teams well, not so bad anymore. I'm not here to coach top tier teams. I may be able to bring you out of bronze/silver but I'm not here to make your team Challenger. I don't have those kind of bragging rights.

If you feel that your team lacks coordination, continuously loses games to poor play, or you have a lack of overall team fundamentals but you have the single "solo-que" spirit down, then I am the coach for hire.

I do however, have ground rules before consideration to coach your team. A team hiring that doesn't have the passion to be a serious team, is just a waste of my time. I do not coach to be mediocre, and I don't blow my evenings away watching your replays for a team that isn't dedicated in the first place. This is a serious offer, not some dinky-dink casual, "well you tried, lets meet up again in a week" thing. You want to be serious? Lets get serious.

So here are my rules before I consider coaching/analyzing your team:

  • You've already completed your placement matches - just because you and a couple of shithead friends decided to make a team doesn't mean you're anywhere close to serious
  • You practice OFTEN - no sense coaching a team that meets up once a week
  • You need to acknowledge that your team needs coaching - I don't need egos, I don't do this for fun, I do this because I know how to make your team better. If I have to put up with pylons on your team thinking they don't need to be here, then I won't be.
  • Your attendance is not when you feel like showing up - Once again, casual isn't worth the effort
  • You have a dedicated chat service/server. I have Skype/teamspeak/mumble/vent.
  • You will not give up a week or two in. Practice and learning to be a better team TAKES TIME. This isn't a quick fix, this is for the long run. We may be sitting in Silver for months and may only get to Gold before the end of Season 5. The ends justifies the means. If your team is a bunch of quitters, once again, not worth my time.

So if you feel like your team meets these qualifications, you're ready to get up to that next level of league and be a team/player with the means to get out of ELO hell, reply below with your name and team. You can also shoot me an invite in game. Can't wait to get started!

  • Scaythe

**Discliamer: As seen above by my qualifications, I do not need to be platinum to be a decent coach. Any comment of how coaches can only be Diamond Soloq players is ridiculous. Don't waste your typing, don't need to waste your time.

What skill level are you aiming to coach? I just recently met a few people on forums and we've started a team together, all high plat/low diamond, and we've been getting along, working on synergy and recapping on what we did well/wrong after every game. We still lack a stable top laner, for we need to find a more permanent one. Because of this, we've only completed 3 provisionals, 3 of which we've won. Once we find a top laner, we'll definitely be looking for a coach.

No specific skill level. I'm looking for dedication rather than a specific skill level. If your team meets the above requirements and you find a stable top, let me know. Added you in game

I'm the ADC of my team, we play 4-5 times a week. We just placed Gold 5. I'm not the owner of our team, but if you add GgString or me in game, I think an analyst would really benefit us. We're all Plat+, and want to be entering tournaments soon.

We work pretty well together and are not too badly coordinated, but what we're really lacking is strategy. We rely a lot on our teamfight capabilities and objective control. We're not really a SoloQ mentality group, but we all have pretty good general knowledge of our game.

Personally, what I think we need to work on is Vision, Lane Swapping, Finding good team comps, Picks/Ban Phase, and when to organize/set up plays. I think it would be awesome if someone could help us with that. We're all chill people and are willing to be criticized and learn! We're all Pacific Time Zone and practice at 7PM (PST) most nights. (Have some conflicts with spring sports, but we're figuring it out).

Why you should choose us:

We're pretty chill people. That being said, we're very competitive. We take the time after games to talk about what we need to improve on, we focus on what we can change, rather than the past. None of us get too salty when we're losing. But above all - we're here to learn. We've got decent synergy, most of the time we're on the same page, and we make our shotcalls together. Our champion pools are quite large, and are still expanding! (I'm learning Kalista/Corki currently). I think you'd have a lot of fun picking team comps for us.

We understand you're not very high elo, but I think your career achievements show much you can do for us. We're looking for strategy, not really mechanics/game knowledge. :)

I think I speak for my team when I say we'd love to have you.
