About Me:
Hey there, my name is Marcus. I've been playing League off and on since Season 1. I'm now 34 years old (omg really?! Yes.). I enjoy the game for it's
competitive design and enjoy playing with others of about the same skill-level. I've duo'd with many friends to get them to gold in the past, as painful as that
is (it puts hair on your chest, friends). I prefer to avoid shot-calling because it's stressful to maintain for extended periods of time. I do, however, usually
know what I should be doing, where, and when. I'm usually the first to objectives (as I'll state below), the one pinging mias (even in other lanes), or pinging
danger when I sense the enemy team or jungler would likely attack a certain lane and are probably on their way. I play for the team, even if I am not the
support player, which means I'll die for an advantage, I'll ward for it, and I'll always stick around to help teammates if there's even a small chance I can make
an impact on the situation. Having played for a very long time in League, I have a rather keen sixth sense as to when ganks might happen, or when a flank
could occur and where. But to sum everything up, I enjoy playing with others who are moderate in skill and who are talkative, friendly, and as supportive as
possible in difficult situations. Tough games are inevitable.
I do look forward to playing some cooperative and competitive games with you guys should you choose to throw me an invite. Wish you guys the best.
In-Game Name:
YHULBRUNNDR
Rank:
Gold III (Plat II on previous account "Ysoh")
Main Role (Champ Pool):
Mid (Kennen - 10, Lux - 10, Kayle - 8, Cassiopeia - 6, Nidalee - 8, where the numbers represent my skill level with them on a scale of 1 to 10.) These are not
common mid picks, for sure, but I tend to do very well with them. Playing in premade groups exemplifies this and makes my games 10 times easier and
more successful than the completely unpredictable and unreliable teammates you often run into with in solo-queue. Such is to be expected.
Off-Role (Champ Pool):
Jungle (Trundle, Sejuani). I can also play any other role with fairly decent effectiveness and have done so many times in the past. I support well, though I
haven't gotten into playing the much more meta support picks which are stronger in the right hands. Instead I often play support Kennen and do very with it
both in laning or mid/endgame. Otherwise I tend to pick Blitzcrank and throw out some amazing grabs all game, or end up picking the safe, team-oriented
Morgana for cc, peel, etc. My warding is always top notch, though I have an intense hatred for buying pinks </3. For top lane, I tend to run Trundle and
either win lane getting 1v1 kills or will farm up, ping mias, roam with my lane and build for what the team needs from me for mid/lategame. Back in the day I
used to main Nidalee back before anyone ever thought playing her ap mid was a good idea. I was a monster until the changes and she was no longer a
great pick for ap mid. I haven't yet learned her setup/build for jungling, though I'd surely enjoy it. I've recently dabbled in ADC after intentionally ignoring it
for years. I picked up Miss Fortune and loved it, though I understand she's not the best option for every teamcomp or matchup. My ults and positioning
with her are fantastic, though I fear my build with her may be dated at this point. I even threw in a Kayle adc one ranked game and became pretty
monstrous. I do love the botlane duo concept, though again my champion pool is small and my build knowledge for adcs is very very limited (Mobafire ftw).
1 Good Quality in Game:
Hard to name just one for this. I'm great at skillshots, even difficult angles and shots around minions. I am usually the first to objectives, the first to remind
others of them, the first (or only) person warding over walls near objectives or teamfights. I am always peeling for teammates, always looking to provide the
most chaos or distractions for teammates to win the fights (even if it should mean my death). I always look to save teammates who are about to die or are
being chased, even if I am low.
1 Skill that can be improved:
I play a rather small selection of champions and rarely venture outside of that. Even so, I can play something in every role and rarely lose my lane. I always
select my champions and build to cover weak points in the team comp and will always provide what is expected of my role, for the team.
Can you get on Discord and play during allotted times for grind? Y/N
I'll have to download Discord, but can easily do so. I can be online, after work, from about 2:30pm until 7:00pm EST, Monday through Friday. On Saturdays
and Sundays I'll be available from around 12:30pm until 7:00pm EST. These times will no doubt change when I start my new job here in about a month.
Regardless, I play a decent amount during my off-times.
Yes, fear my english paper-ness ^^^^
