I dont play either role, but I can give you some general tips.
For right now, I wouldn't even mess with ranked. Chances are that in the "few" games needed to get to ranked, you still need practice in norms....most people do.
Most raw stats (op.gg) can only give you a general idea about another player. One thing that DOES stand out to me is your average deaths. Anything in the double digits is too much (not saying you wont have crazy bad games where you die 15+ times), but your average should be below 10...and preferably closer to 5.
Focus on just not dying. (When you die, you are not just giving the enemy gold, you are taking yourself out of the battle for a time, you are "losing" gold yourself, AND the enemy is probably pushing your lane.) That alone will boost your games. How to do it? PLAY SAFE. I know you see someone say that in almost every game. There's a reason, because it works.
SO, this means.....
- if you are having trouble against a lane enemy, stay near or under your own tower (I know it's boring until laning is over, but it works)
- don't tower dive
- don't chase if you have no vision
- try not to face check bushes (use wards, and many skills actually provide a burst of vision (lux's e, nid traps, zyra seeds are actually mini wards, etc))
- recall when you are low on health
- don't fight the enemy just for the sake of fighting (kills are a tool for the ultimate goal (the Nexus), but they are not the goal itself)
- don't fight to the death every engage...if you are low, back off and rc
There are more basic ones that I can't think of. Basically, if you are about to do something and you think you might die in the process, DON'T DO IT, until you learn what you can and can't do and still survive on your own champ as well against specific enemy champs (matchups).
