Creating an ELITE League of Legends Team
Hello, my name is SkaaR. I am going to be creating an elite team of highly dedicated, motivated, and driven players to take their game to the next level.
(Section 1: Team goals)
-
First and foremost. The most difficult of these objectives to obtain. "Professional status". This team will have an end goal objective of becoming a professional organization/team. No matter how far off, unrealistic, or stupid some people may say that is. If you want it, you can make it happen.
-
Reach the teams' maximum potential. Meaning: Each of the players within the team will maximize their personal level of play within that set team/roster. Which in turn, will take the team as a whole, to it's maximum potential level. But, if it does not achieve goal number 1. of "Professional Status", the players will move on to goal #3.
-
Forward as many players on the team as possible to semi-pro, or professional organizations.
-
Obtain as much financial return on investments of time and money for all players within the team.
(Section 2: Who am I?) My name is Tieler Ferguson. I am a 20 year old visionary with massive goals in life. And I plan to reach them. I have been a video gamer for as long as I can remember and then some. I have been gaming since I was roughly 7 or 8 years old. It began at a hardcore level from 12 on up, where shortly after, I started my competitive gaming journey with Call of Duty 4. And continued on through Modern Warfare 2. But postponed my competitive gaming in order to pursue YouTube with all of my spare time. Only up until recently have I begun to majorly dive back into the competitive scene. That being with my newly found favorite video game of all time, League of Legends. I started playing League in between the release of Zac and Lissandra. So as most of you now know, I haven't been around this game too long. But that doesn't change my previous statement.
(Section 3: How do I fit into all of this?) I will be in a managerial position once my job is complete. My main interest is in: bringing a team together, learning/teaching what I can, assist where I can in order to reach success, and provide the foundation for a solid team/organization. That being said, I will be playing as a starter/substitute, until I establish a full roster. And then I will allow the team to carry itself forward.
(Section 4: What type of players' are we looking for?) Personal Attributes: Ambitious, motivated, dedicated, hard-working, and open-minded.
Personal Skill Level: Minimum elo level of Platinum, unless the situation permits. (Ex. A gold level player, playing on a Platinum or even Diamond level with lower solo queue experience.) My reasoning for having this high of a standard, is as the title says, I'm putting together an ELITE team. Therefore, I cannot place anyone on the team who may hold the higher elo players back. Sorry, it is not my intention to offend or dishearten lower elo players. Keep working hard!
Team Compatibility: Friendly or fun to play alongside, positive/supportive/encouraging, willingness to give/receive criticism, demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively (Ex. how to speak what's on your mind or how to get a point across.)
Roles:
- Top: Be very versatile. Ability to play various champions to fit many different team compositions. No "one trick ponies". Ability to hold your lane, and know how to control your outcome in the laning and late-game phases. Superb map awareness, knowing when to push, when to freeze, when to teleport, etc.
- Jungle: Extremely high game knowledge, knowledge of all champions in the game, and general game flow knowledge. Knowing when to gank, which lanes need help, which laners need "fed", and which enemy lanes are easy pickings. Make excellent calls/plays for the team when it comes to objectives and objective control. And clearly communicate ideas of how you want the game to progress. And finally have complete understanding of the 4.20 patch in the jungle.
- Mid: Same as top. But with a higher focus on map awareness and lane control.
- Marksman: Constantly strive for perfection when it comes to synergy with your support. He is your left hand, and you his right.
- Support: Same as above. Also, maximize the carry's potential by extending lane time as long as possible and peeling during all engagements. And the ability to effectively communicate during and after the laning phase. (We ask that all applicants main the role that they are applying for, or be willing to do so.)
(Section 5: Recruitment Requirements)
-
Meet ALL of the above from Section 4.
-
Ability to meet time frames/schedules: (This will be established once a potential roster has been established. If someone cannot meet the requirement, and we cannot afford to adjust the times for them, they will be let go, and the place on the team will then become open again. So this is not required on your application. But it will be required before you are finalized on the team. We have to remain strict on this in order for practices, scrims, ranked games, reviews, and evaluations to be met. Too many teams do not stress meeting time frames and schedules as much as they should, and this results in the team disbanding before they realize the cause. I am trying to avoid this, even at the cost of letting some potentially excellent players go. Unfortunately it is something that HAS to be done correctly, or the entire team will collapse from the inside out.)
-
Must be older than 18
-
Must have or download one of the following chat sources. Curse Voice, Skype, Vylo, Teamspeak. I prefer them in that order, but the team will decide what the main chat application will be.
-
Reasonable champion pool for the given situation. (For swapping picks during the "Pick/Ban" phase and for fitting team compositions.)
(Section 6: The Application)
IGN/Summoner Name: Age: Time Zone: Rank: Role: Top 5 Champions in role: Champion Pool: (How many champs do you own? How many do you not?) Team experience: Previous Accomplishments: (If any, this is only a bonus, not a downfall.) Anything else we should know: (Put personal comments or concerns here. Ex: I have excellent leadership capabilities; My game knowledge is on a very high level; I have experience shot-calling and have been successful with it in the past; I make excellent decisions in-game under stressful situations; Or anything else you may think of that could go here.)
After posting on this thread, I will review your application, forward it to the current potential members of the team and let everyone review it. The players who receive the most up-votes inside the team will be given the try-out opportunity. (Unless there is a severe red-flag, everyone will most likely be receiving an invite to tryout. But it is NOT a guarantee.) At the end of the first wave of recruiting, we will make all necessary adjustments in a group meeting. So if the team is full at the moment, you may want to still apply, a slot will eventually open up. Play for other teams' and continue practicing in the meantime and maybe one day you will find your home among this team. Or maybe you will find your home amongst another team while waiting around.
Lastly I ask, if you have made it this far in the thread, that you spread the word. Your potential future teammate is out there and remains unknowing about this opportunity. You could be the reason he sees the thread, and becomes one of your favorite allies.
Have a wonderful day, best of luck, and happy gaming! -Tieler "SkaaR" Ferguson Team Owner
