Epitychia NA (Placeholder) Needing all roles, including coaches and managers!

Epitychia NA is currently searching for players of all roles to fulfill it's roster! Epitychia,(A word meaning Success) is a team dedicated to the molding of it's players into professional material. On a mechanical, awareness, and teamwork level, Epytichia is dedicated to creating an environment where it's players can grow. Currently looking for talented, passionate players, intelligent, clairvoyant coaches, and a manager/owner to keep the team rolling after our current owner (Me) joins the starting lineup, if you are looking for a legitimately serious team, and have the play to back it up, You needn't look farther.

Our mindset is that any player, no matter how out of their element and unaware they may be can become great if they have what truly matters; Passion. We are looking for players who are in love with the game and can seriously put in the time and effort needed to become great. Players who understand, yes, this isn't about being bored, and yes, sometimes it's gonna be hard, and even if you want to give up, you are so invested and want it so deeply that you won't.

Other than that, camaraderie is extremely important to making a unit. Our players will end up being (Hopefully best) friends, and need to be able to tolerate each other by default. If there is no synergy in the roster then there will be changes until the team can play harmoniously. Understand that, as we need PASSIONATE players, this passion may some day turn into frustration and perhaps an argument will break out. People who spend a lot of time together day by day end up arguing and this is perfectly normal, and our team players must be able to treat it as so. Holding grudges is VERY immature.

So, that's about it. If you think you have what it takes, apply below. If you have questions, I check my email every few hours at [email protected] or you can add me in game @ Maeiv and get to know me.

(Coach/Manager section below) Keep in mind none of these are trick questions and what I am looking for is honest answers :) If you lie, I'll end up finding out eventually anyways.

1.What makes you think you can fit into Epitychia?: 2.If you had one word to describe yourself, what would it be?: 3.If you had one word to describe your relationship with League of Legends, what would it be?: 4.If you had the chance to get to the top, given the proper guidance, understanding the effort it would take, would you?: 5. Do you play well with others? Or are you a solo queue player looking to become more diverse: 6. What are your strengths as a player?: 7. Name multiple weaknesses. 8. Do you become insecure when faced with those weaknesses? 9.Is your champion pool dense? If not, will you still be able to conform to new patches? 10. Are you going to crack under pressure? 11. Summoner name: 12. Highest current rank: 14. Time zone/availability?: 15. What role are you applying for?: 16. Have you ever played on a team that wasn't all of your casual friends or that disbanded after the first loss?: 17: Are you a leader? 18. Questions?

Answer everything to the best of your ability, all blanks need to be filled in order for the application to be taken seriously. You will be added ingame for a tryout date when enough people apply. All players higher than plat 3 are guaranteed a tryout position.

On a less serious note, since I know all of that was very business like, keep in mind an important part of creating a unit is friendship :) Leave a joke below if you are feeling it!

For those looking into the coaching section.

For a coach, I need someone who can put everyone on the same page by defining our team's playstyle based on our individual strengths/weaknesses. You will need to be able to look over at least 2-3 games with me and the rest of the starting roster every practice day. Informing players on how pick/ban phases should work out in order to compliment our game plan is also going to be important. Basically, everything that you can think of that is a coaches job. You will literally be in control of just about everything when it comes to our identity.

Last, but certainly not least, I need someone to hand over the manager/owner title to. Pretty simple, all you have to do is update the team's social media occasionally, keep an eye out for roster subs/ replacements when I am too busy to do it any longer due to being in the starting lineup, and schedule us for tournaments/LAN events if we all live in the same area (Southern California). Oh, and since Epytichia will probably just be a placeholder, you get to come up with a cool name and logo! >:)

If you want to coach/manage I think it'd be much easier for you to email me rather than apply here :)

I think that about covers it, enjoy your day and thanks for taking an interest in Epytichia gaming!

1.What makes you think you can fit into Epitychia?: i love playing league im consistently looking to improve my play and i have the most fun playing with other who have similar mind set about the game. we are here to have fun wile improving

2.If you had one word to describe yourself, what would it be?: consistent

3.If you had one word to describe your relationship with League of Legends, what would it be?: unbreakable

4.If you had the chance to get to the top, given the proper guidance, understanding the effort it would take, would you?: yes ive been trying my best to get there but having people to help would be amazing its my dream to be in challenger series or lcs and im willing to do what ever it takes to get there.

  1. Do you play well with others? Or are you a solo queue player looking to become more diverse: i love playing with other people and ive played enough 5s to know the difference between 5s and solos

  2. What are your strengths as a player?: vision control, lane dominance, tp bottom, following calls, punishing other peoples mistakes

  3. Name multiple weaknesses. well id say my biggest weakness right now is i play renekton and maokai really well but have not played enough of other champs to know all the lane matchups or their big power spikes, i will sometimes when very ahead in lane over extend without vision, im sure there are many more i just cant think of them right now or don't even know of them yet

  4. Do you become insecure when faced with those weaknesses? no i know i have them and im continuing to work on making them go away and when i do get over them i know i will find more things to work on

9.Is your champion pool dense? If not, will you still be able to conform to new patches? right now im amazing at renekton and maokai okay at irelia and good at j4 malphite and nidalee but i do not know their matchups very well or their power spikes. this is mostly due to me wanting to climb and okay playing champs im really good at, but when i need to start playing new champs for a different meta i will give it my all to learn them

  1. Are you going to crack under pressure? sometimes i get nervous right before a big game but as soon as laning starts i completely forget about everything else and 100% focus on the game.

  2. Summoner name: Renekton is God

  3. Highest current rank: plat 1

  4. Time zone/availability?: pst, i don't really do anything right now so unless i have something planed ahead of time which i will let you know about i can play whenever u want me to.

  5. What role are you applying for?: top

  6. Have you ever played on a team that wasn't all of your casual friends or that disbanded after the first loss?: yes i played on a team for 6 months but we only had a solid roster for a week, after many changes in the roster non of which worked i realized that the other 2 core people on the roster were to immature to make a solid team and i left them i have been looking for a good team sense then.

17: Are you a leader? i can be, but im not the best person for the job

  1. Questions? how much are we going to play, and how much effort are you willing to put into this team to make it to the top

1.What makes you think you can fit into Epitychia?: I have always seen myself as a likable, helpful, and talented gamer which I believe is the most important part of being part of a team. I spent most of my high school days playing WoW as part of a relatively successful and high ranked guild. Being exposed to the competitive and team oriented side of gaming at a young age has given me the tools I need to adapt to new play-styles, new games, new teammates, etc. and I believe I can be a very valuable asset. I am always serious when it comes to competitive gaming, but I also know that everyone is a person behind their mouse and keyboard. I pride myself in my lack of toxicity and all around geniality in team oriented situations. 2.If you had one word to describe yourself, what would it be?: I would have to go with versatile. The phrase jack of all trades if you will. When I am interested in something, I try to experience everything I can about it, look at every side of the story and fully immerse myself in it. I am a musician/computer scientist/gamer and I am able to readily adapt my mechanical, strategical, and mental state for any and all situations in and out of the game. 3.If you had one word to describe your relationship with League of Legends, what would it be?: Passion. When I was first exposed to gaming, the thought of being among the highest caliber players was what I dreamed of. Theory crafting day after day, working on my mechanical skills, number crunches, I couldn't get enough. MLG Providence in 2011 is when I first was introduced to competitive league of legends and I knew it was what I wanted to do. Because of school and work, I haven't been able to commit as much time as I would like to climbing the latter and truly reaching my potential, but I know that if I had the right team with the collective goal of improvement, the sky is the limit. 4.If you had the chance to get to the top, given the proper guidance, understanding the effort it would take, would you?: Absolutely. 5. Do you play well with others? Or are you a solo queue player looking to become more diverse: I have a history of team oriented gaming (WoW, SOCOM II, Destiny) but I have yet to find the right group of people on my skill level with the same mindset for a League of Legends team. I duo queue with my cousin on occasion and have several friends I play normals with, but I would like the opportunity to try and grow with a set group of players. 6. What are your strengths as a player?: I consider my strengths to be mechanical prowess, awareness, and memory. The memory plays a part in shot calling and game sense because I can recall similar situations I have seen in other games either on the professional or personal level. I think my mechanics rely heavily on my memory because I can see plays made in competitive league and recreate them with little trouble.
7. Name multiple weaknesses. My shot calling and playing from behind can use work. Sometimes my aggressive play making style can be my downfall when I make a nice catch only to realize that my teams win conditions are not catching, but rather staying safe and waiting for enemies to make moves and play reactively. I enjoy watching my own replays and and I am very critical on myself when I make mistakes. 8. Do you become insecure when faced with those weaknesses? Playing in a semi-hardcore WoW guild at a young age forced me to develop a strong shell when it comes to my game sense and mechanics. I love criticism and love improving, so any weakness I do have, I try to treat them as not weaknesses, but my next area to perfect. If I was perfect at everything, I wouldn't be writing this application. I accept that I have flaws and make mistakes, but without learning from them, I would be headed no where fast. 9.Is your champion pool dense? If not, will you still be able to conform to new patches? I currently own every champion in the game and have a passion for learning all I can about them all. When I first started playing this game, I realized that was a huge part of the game, not only playing a champion well, but playing against them. My match history will reflect that lately I have been the Thresh Prince. I love this champion, everything about him, his engage, his disengage, his catch, his damage, his peel, his escape, his utility. I have mained many roles and have a dense pool in each, but with each new patch, there are new flavors of the week and new balances to take into effect. I love the diversity in this game and conforming to new patches and learning new kits is what keeps my attention the most. 10. Are you going to crack under pressure? I always take gaming seriously, but my number one motto is "It's all about the game". The adrenaline from having something on the line, whether it's LP, a tournament seed, or a spot on the team is what fuels my play, but in the end it's still play. I have always tried to keep a steady mind and cool head under pressure and I try not to let my emotions get the better of myself. 11. Summoner name: Crackabear **12. Highest current rank: **Highest - G1; Current - S1 14. Time zone/availability?: EST, weeknights and weekends. 15. What role are you applying for?: Support 16. Have you ever played on a team that wasn't all of your casual friends or that disbanded after the first loss?: No **17: Are you a leader? ** There have been periods of time where I held a leadership role in several progression WoW guilds, but I have to say that leading is not what I would call my strongest attribute. I prefer being reactionary and listening to calls when it comes to team-fights, however as Support, most early game bot lane calls fall on me. I can sometimes get carried away when given the leadership role and others see this as aggressive. I just get lost in the moment sometimes and can be very honest and deliberate. 18. Questions? Where do you see League of Legends 5 years from now? I like to think of how young the game is and cannot believe that I have been a part of the community since the beta. The dream of playing video games for a living is much more obtainable than it was 5 years ago, so in another 5 years where do you see the game?

So i thought a somewhat funny joke during a staff meeting today. I work for a music company, and a few new hires were asked where their previous places of employment were. 2/3 of them used to work at stop and shop and one specifically said the produce section. I thought to myself:

"Why did the musician want to work in the produce section so bad? All the fresh beets!"

....

I'll see myself out, thanks for your time.
