he agreed to play their account to raise their ELO. If had agreed to play duo with him, i don't see how that would be considered ELO boosting.

In fact, nightblue (the streamer) has basically "elo boosted" (seemingly by your definition), 4 people on a team he made with a smurf. He was a much better player than the team of all bronze players, and he raised their ELO via carrying them and teaching them to play better. He was not ban for that.

XWX was playing on the account. Duoq boosting is fine, you just can't go on their account and you have to own your account and they have to own theirs. Its just a duoq with one partner being stronger. If one of your friends was clearly better than you and you were duo partners, you won't get in trouble even though they're carrying you.

Edit: XWX was also duoq with Pray. Pray didn't get in trouble because he did nothing wrong. XWX was on the coaches account though and there was proof of that, so that was legitimate boosting.

As long as you and your partner are eligible to be partners in duoq, Riot can't really prohibit you from playing with eachother, even fi the "booster" is on a smurf they levelled themself.
