Clocktower Gaming is looking for new players as well as hosting it's third tournament.
Clocktower Gaming is a community of people looking to rank up, have fun, and just generally play the game. Clocktower is run by a council of team captains and admins/moderators rather than one person in an attempt to reduce the ability of that one guy to be a malevolent dictator.
Events-wise we do one-day-wonder Lightning round tournaments, where anyone can sign up solo and get matchmade with other people on the server to fight in a 5v5 elimination style tournament with the last team standing as the victor. We also do the Clocktower Open tournament (which is what this post is primarily about), which is a season long Round Robin style tournament with pre-made 5v5 teams competing (more about it below)
The Clocktower Open is a tournament welcome to players and teams of all skill levels.
You can come into Clocktower and collaborate with a number of other players looking to group up and make some noise as a five man team, or sign up with yourself and four of your closest buddies.
The Clocktower Open is going to be played as a seasonal tournament played in Round Robin style with one game per week on Saturday nights at 7:30pm EST, or with one "highlight game" to be played at 5:30pm EST. The teams in the highlight game will rotate every week, so please be available to play at both times! The google doc for the full list of rules is available on the signup form on the discord server.
Prizes for the winning team include $10 RP for the 5 core members of the team, or a game from a list of approximately 50 steam games. It is each core member's individual choice as to which they prefer.
If more than 10 teams sign up to the event, an elimination style bracket will be played to cut the tournament down to 10 teams. If there are far more than 10 teams, those eliminated by this elimination style bracket will have the option in playing in a "loser's bracket" which will be unprized, but will be a good competitive experience.
