So the new system is out and props to Riot, its super pretty and its an awesome to revamp draft pick. But why get rid of team builder? I liked being able to select my team and tell people no they cant play support talon or jungle soraka. Also I primarily duo queue and we go to bot lane, in this role this cant be guarenteed and we might not get to play together in lane. I also enjoyed being able to pick a specific champion and a specific role and say I dont care how long i have to wait, i want to play this champ in this roll.

if they can't replace team builder with a better and more viable than teambuilder, there is no point in removign it. the new champ select can not replace teambuilder

Riot plans to integrate the new champ select with team builder. This was supposed to be a new and better version of team builder. Riot put a post about this which can be found here.
