Western Kentucky University is newest university to launch a varsity eSports program

Greetings,

Many of you know that the collegiate eSports scene is on the rise. Several schools such as RMU have begun to build eSports programs with teams, arenas, broadcasting etc. Western Kentucky University just gave the green light to start such a program.

I have not heard all of the details yet because construction is underway on the website, social media, and other parts of the program. However, I did manage to find out their email: [email protected]

I know that they are looking for several LoL teams, shoutcasters and analysts, and assistant coaches. In fact, the university has an excellent School of Journalism and Broadcsting to pair with the experience you would get while broadcasting for the school's program. The word is that they will have scholarships for the top 1-2 teams.
