Radio on the Rift Recruitment! A League of Legends Online Radio Station!
Do you have a passion for writing or are you one of those people who love to listen to the radio while thinking “Well, I can do that.” Do you have personality in your voice and excitement when you talk about anything League related? How about that idea you had for a webshow that you just couldn't bring to fruition?
Well, now you can make your voice heard. I've come up with an idea which I've done once before for another game. This time, I plan on running with it as long as League keeps the eSport cog turning. Would you be interested in riding the train as a broadcaster, article writer, editor, or something else? Currently we're in the building phase, and we are in need of many staff members up to and including the following:
Broadcasters – Broadcasters will be broadcasting live with Radio on the Rift in minimum 2 hour periods 3 times weekly. The time slot you choose will be the time slot each week that you are committing to. You are expected to make each show. A welcome packet will be given to you, and you will be trained in detail.
Editors – The job of the editor is to read over not only the articles written for the site to be proof read and assessed as far as what is good and what isn't, but to also be the first line the broadcasters will go to in order to get their new show approved before it comes to me for the final yes or no. If you have an eye for detail, great grammar, spelling, and punctuation and you love to read new ideas, then this might be for you. A welcome packet will be given to you, and you will be trained as to what to look for.
Article Writers – The job of the article writer is simple. Write about what is happening in eSports today. Whether that be a story of how Team Solo Mid is just barely ahead of the now second place Cloud 9, while still holding down first place in the standings, or a way to explain why you shouldn't be toxic in solo queue, this is a job made for people that love to write. A welcome packet will be given to you and you will be spoken to with time limits on article due dates.
Graphic Artists – Any time we need a graphic for the site we will come to you. You will have a contract with Radio on the Rift to make graphics for us, and in the future any sponsorships and recognition we receive, you will receive a part of that as well for your contributions. We welcome budding artists to apply for this position.
Moderators – The job of a moderator will be to moderate the comment section of articles and the chat. Pretty simple, but abuse of power will not be tolerated. A welcome packet will be given to you and your duties will be outlined in detail.
As you can see, the description of each thing has been labeled beside each of the needed positions, and each position will have a different set of rules they'll need to follow, all conversing into one thing. Success of the online radio station and accompanied website.
The success of this online radio station depends not only on myself, but the quality of people I bring in to do this with me. It will be a world-wide thing, so don't expect to be streaming live to just North America.
