Anyone who claims that social structures don't affect psychology are fucking retarded. In psychology, you approach questions using the biopsycho'social' approach. Biology- Animals in general always have a pack leader. Humans evolved for there to be a social aspect to it as well. Psychology- People, naturally, are either going to be leaders, or not. It's common sense. Some are satisfied with being lesser, some are not. Social- Resources are to be controlled. In this day and age. Power comes from the ability to control other people. Before that, it was a matter of who controlled the food.
