[WILL PAY] - Looking for a Diamond+ Coach for myself and my duo partner.

Remain Inspired·4/18/2015, 12:05:31 PM·1 votes·703 views

Hello all! My name is Virtrue, I have been playing the game since a week before the release of Jinx on live (About a year and a half I'd say.)

I consider myself to be competitive, and driven to be better... However, my problem resides with being caught in the whirlpool of bad habits. I started playing ranked the first week I hit level 30 with incomplete runes and shoddy masteries, and I couldn't even be confident in saying that I mastered a champion or even the fundamentals of the game itself (and I don't believe I'm even close still.) I am Silver 5 currently.

I started off as an ADC main and resided that role for 90% of the 4th Season, then I shifted to Support because I could NEVER find a Support that was good enough, or consistent enough for my standards or to climb. So, I'm looking for a Diamond plus player with some coaching experience to help me out. I need a LOT of work, in every department of the game, I lack awareness, mechanical skill, fundamentals such as last-hitting, orb walking properly, harassing and so much more.

While I'm not confident that I'm good at the game, I know that I have improved immensely over the course of time. The reason I am seeking a highly-skilled and experienced player for help is the fact that most of the higher elo players have been where I am, in different circumstances. With that knowledge (hopeful perspective) I feel that higher elo players can spot my mistakes SO much easier than I can myself, here-in lies the problem. I have tried talking myself into "well, I can see that I can never get 10 cs/min, I should practice reaching that some more." I have been caught into bad habits of my own doing, I don't believe in Elo Hell... If I did, I would've quit this game a long time ago.

My duo partner is a current ADC main branded by the name "Caddo." He is Silver 5 as well; he may or may not want to be taught or even be a part of the process.

I am willing to pay for the insight and help; I'm not set on a pay rate yet. I am in desperate need of help, constructive criticism, knowledge, teachings... Anything that I'm missing, I want to know about it.

If you're interested, please read further as to what I ask of my mentor/coach.

  • To spectate (and record occasionally), or review recorded gameplay to point out mistakes.
  • To sometimes lane against me on a weekly/bi-weekly base so that I can see in game how I would lose lane by being outplayed or making mistakes.
  • Communicate with me when you will be, or won't be available to mentor/spectate.
  • Realize that I know what SOME of my problems are, not all... If I knew everything I did wrong, I wouldn't ask for help in spotting them or ways to improve on my weaknesses.
  • Realize that I am not just playing this game for fun, because if I were doing so I wouldn't play ranked. I play this game to win, and I need information on how and why I lose my solo-queue games.
  • Realize that I want to become a high-elo player through "hard" work and practice, not by boosting or allowing you to play on my account.

If you're interested, and think that I still have some hope to improve, please reply to this post below with the following information:

  • Summoner Name
  • Rank
  • One example of a summoner who climbed when you taught them (if applicable, I won't deny you if you're a first time coach.)

Once you have done this, simply add me in-game and I will talk to you further about myself... if you require that much. You might just have to watch me play a game and tell me that you don't even want to try. Amumu

Thank you for taking the time to read through this and consider me as an apprentice! - Virtrue

Why not join a gaming community for free coaching? Such as http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/esports/BjdlInqc-purge-gaming

Thank you everyone for your wonderful comments, anyone who is willing to help and possibly spectate my games or review my matches is free to do so. I'm honestly looking for that game knowledge that everyone seems to agree is important, because I know enough to be Silver... But not gold or higher.

Add me whenever and thanks again!

Look getting another perspective on your games can be helpful but it isn't necessary, you can climb and imrpove quickly on your own especially with the attitude you put on display in this post. So I find it odd you have played a mere 200 ranked games in 3 months. Play more ranked with the intent to get better. I would also stop duoing unless your duo is on and willing to ranked all the time, if he isn't then you will need to learn how to play with random lane partners.

Knowing you belong where you are should speed the process up quite a bit so there's no reason for you to spend money on a coach, just stop playing norms and you will find yourself improving and climbing as long as you look at your ranked games as learning experiences and not do or die situations.

I'm not a pro coach but I'll take a look at some of your games tell you what I notice for free.

Hey Virtrue, My name is Wes I've been coaching since season 4 most of my coaching has been done with ranked 5s because I excel in team strategies and done lots of research on the game. I've done one on one coaching and the best way I've seen it done is with a lot of time commitment not just from the player but from the coach. Which is what I'm willing to offer. Add me in game and we can talk more. Earohim

Diamond 2

  • A close friend of mine was stuck in silver 5 and I played with him alot at the time and he reached out to me for legit training to climb elo. After maybe a month he hit plat 4 his name is under "arkerin" if you want to talk to him about it XD

Anyways I think its possible to get you to high elo and more so based on how well we could work together but im excited to see where you can make it! lets do this.

I really appreciate the response, and I do understand what you're saying. I realize that it isn't necessary to have a coach or anyone helping me other than myself to climb. I do however find myself in trap when I look at my gameplay, where I realize I'm making mistakes or that I could've preformed better... I just don't understand the right process in changing those habits and misplays into strengths by improving on them seperately, then as a whole.

I honestly didn't realize, or flat out denied, what you said about the learning experience versus do or die. I want to win so bad, that when I don't win I blame myself because I HAVE to... It's solo-queue, I want to work with my team, but it's not always possible. (I'm not blaming individuals I play with, because every mistake I can find they make, I know I make as well.)

I feel that one of the huge factors between Bronze - Gold compared to Platinum+ is the amount of mistakes that are made, or capitalized. This is hard for me personally because I LOVE the support role, but it's hard to make a pick when you catch someone when they're playing Kalista and I'm playing Thresh.

I don't NEED a coach, I WANT a coach. Maybe just advice on what I'm not doing right, or what I don't even realize is important or existing in the game.

I will add you and you may spectate and throw criticism at me however and whenever you like, I very much appreciate it!
