I am S4 looking for help to get to G5 before end of season. I appreciate the help and pointers. I know the threads are full of these posts but i will really take your advice to heart and learn from it. I normally play bot or mid. I can support of jng though. Thank you.
Stick to one or two champs that youre comfortable with to climb, dont tilt on mistakes, dont surrender because tides can change easily with item power spikes and mistakes from the enemy team.
also, don't try to force kills/plays. minions are the safest way to make money. just by farming well and not dying you should be able to get gold. at that elo people often will try to force kills and die in the process
Set personal goals for yourself- like aiming for your lost chapter by 
5 minutes.
If you set timers for yourself to get items you will do very well, trying to get the gold for the item and backing when you're able to is a very good thing I've found. Don't sit on your gold, spend it.
