Bronze / Silver Team? Come play 5V5!
What's up, everyone! :) I have a quick story for you guys.
I've only been playing league for 8 months now - but as all of you have, I have fallen in love. I live with a bunch of bros in my house, and we have all collectively fallen in love with this game. Although we all work good jobs, as soon as we come home- it is league time! As embarrassing as that is to admit, I think you get it. This has been an opportunity to really open up our friend group and create an awesome community here in Pittsburgh to come chill at our house and que up in our living room. The team play as a 5 stack is fun as you discuss strategies and talk team comps in order to win games.
Recently when playing as a 5 stack, we ran into another 5 stack sort of randomly and LOVED playing against them. I reached out, and turns out they were some awesome guys! We scheduled a series of "rematch" nights, and it was amazing. Everyone from my team would cram into our house to join the scheduled games. Same with them! They apparently got together wherever they were located, got pizza as a team, and played against us. It became an amazing team rivalry, if you will.
We then thought; WAIT, why not do this all the time? There are lots of people who are in various "clubs" or teams, but aren't often playing other teams consistently. Also, the idea of playing a team that you can see multiple times changes your strategy SO much! Remember that ADC that carried last game? What should we do now to prevent that? I recognize ranked 5v5 flex does this, but I realizing more and more that they aren't often teams, but a collection of individuals. The feel can't quite be the same.
SO - this is where YOU come in. If you want your club in this community of teams all playing against each other regularly; let's talk! I'll be scheduling lots of games here for various clubs. I believe this sort of play is fun, competitive, and helpful to development. Add me, "Thejorrr" or comment here if you are interested and i'll reach out to you.
DONT WORRY if you feel like your club sucks. There are plenty of opportunities out there for gold players and above to be in tournaments and such. I think this is a needed thing for the league community in lower elos!
Can't wait to start scheduling games!
