Looking for Managers For Serious Teams

FsN TK1··1 votes·845 views

I currently have 3 teams currently that I am managing so its getting pretty crazy for a single manager. I am looking for some other to take my place to have a manager per team but still having me as the top manager/owner of all teams. Comment giving me a short bio of yourself along with experience of your management role. Comment what team you would like to take on. Answer these 3 questions in your comment. Only apply if you are fully dedicated to the team you are assigned to and there schedule. I have 2 coach's and possibly a 3rd (I would like one for each team) working with the teams while some players are paying for professional coach's for themselves. All my teams are dedicated and serious about climbing and eventually going pro. I will be handling the sponsors and upper management stuff.

Team Start time Purple- 6pm EST Mon, Wed, Fri (Mainly Diamond) Red- Undecided (filling roster) Blue- 11pm EST Mon, Wed, Fri (Mainly Plat)

What you would do

  1. Replace players that decide to leave or drop to sub position
  2. Talk with coach's after each game
  3. Hold team meetings
  4. Set schedule if required each week
  5. Get team set up for tournaments
  6. Handle social media

These questions are examples of some situations that can arise in the competitive scene. Answer how you would handle certain situations.

1.) A team member doesn't want to listen to the coach's advice on what he needs to work on and get a major attitude, by threatening to leave the team if he can't play how he likes. How would you calm that player down and keep him on the team while getting him to take the coach's advice?

2.) The team loses 6 games in a row and puts the team on tilt. What would you do to get them off tilt and back in the right state of mind?

3.) One lane has a bad game and all the other member are ganging up on him and telling him he is a noob and need to be replaced. How would you calm the team down and get them to realize that everyone has bad games?

Hello FsN.

I noticed you have 3 teams which can prove to be very difficult to manage especially by yourself. I am Smokey and I'm from Damage Inc. Were a huge gaming clan looking for potential members. I was curious to see if we can do a merger.

I want you to join our community. It can be very beneficial for both parties. We gain more members and we can help you schedule team practices using our calendar and offer TeamSpeak chat rooms. Let me know what you think.

Here is a little something about DI: http://dmg-inc.com/about/

Also contact me through the LoL client @ ISmokeyTheBear for more info.

Hey I would love to help out. I have not managed a team before so that may be over my head but I have coached. If you are looking for a coach or a player just add me and we can talk I was D5 last season.

Work on communication, perhaps the coach is telling rather than talking. I'm going to school to be a teacher, and conversations are infinitley more valuable than telling someone something.

2.) The team loses 6 games in a row and puts the team on tilt. What would you do to get them off tilt and back in the right state of mind?

Take a breather, go for a walk, tell them to play another game for a while to recollect their thoughts.

3.) One lane has a bad game and all the other member are ganging up on him and telling him he is a noob and need to be replaced. How would you calm the team down and get them to realize that everyone has bad games?

Depends how many poor games that player has had.

Random note: I would rather serve as a video analyst as that would better fit my skills. I.E. have the coach record the matches or send me VODs to review and edit, and analyze with the team.

Ok cool. Keep in mind that you would be working with the coach's of all 3 teams, but added.

Not really applying, just answering the question for fun.

I'd replace him as I'm not there to deal with a child's tantrum. Act professional or leave.

2.) The team loses 6 games in a row and puts the team on tilt. What would you do to get them off tilt and back in the right state of mind?

Organize a scrim against lower ranked players. If they get crushed they lose confidence in their skills; the best way to get that back is to have them play against worse players, so they remember why they are good. Also reviewing replays and show them ridiculously obvious mistakes they can easily fix.

3.) One lane has a bad game and all the other member are ganging up on him and telling him he is a noob and need to be replaced. How would you calm the team down and get them to realize that everyone has bad games?

I'd look for a team with an actually professional mindset, as I have no time for childish mob mentality garbage like that. You either get better together, or I drop you. If it's 1 player not harmonizing with the others, or 1 player that's clearly worse than the other, I'd give him some time but ultimately replace him if he doesn't improve.
