Recruiting members for the Compete League (NA Bronze / Silver) Winter Season

Edit: We are currently looking for a TOP laner to fill the spot on our team. Preference will be given to players who main the same role.

We are also looking for substitutes to fill up the team so if you think that you might not have enough time to dedicate throughout the season but still want to get a feel of competitive play, do apply in the comments below or send me a request in game.

Note that matches will be on Mondays 8PM EST onwards starting 11th September.

Original Post: Hi all! Team Cereal Killers is recruiting members to participate in the upcoming split of the Compete League NA Bronze/Silver Open League Tournament, scheduled sometime in September. If you don't know what Compete League is, you can have a look at these two links (https://competeleague.com/ and https://lol.competeleague.com/). We are looking for individuals who will be motivated, punctual, friendly and of course good at their role! We are recruiting for all positions right now and will start regular practices somewhere around the first week of September. Practice times will be decided as per the convenience of the team.

If you are looking to get a feel of the competitive world of League or just be a part of a wonderful community of League players, kindly apply by commenting below and if you match, we will contact you in game. We are currently accepting open applications, i.e. without tryouts but we might have them if there are a lot of applicants. Preference will be given to players who are silver / high silver.

Applicants MUST be over the age of 16!

Do you have previous competitive experience (Any level)? If yes, explain: Yes, I Played on a 4-5k Dota Team last year as support/jungle. In Dota Support is usually Drafter and shotcaller so ive had some practice in that, but very little in LOL. Team Moved to Asia and disbanded since time zones are opposite now. So I Switched for a bunch of reasons i Dont need to go into, Been Playing lol since beginning of the year almost everyday

Why do you want to join the Cereal Killers? : I miss playing on a team, Im tried of solo Queue

Rate your shot-calling from a scale of 1-10 (Worst - Best): 5, I am that guy in solo queue going "push top" (wins team fight) "go baron" usually it goes ok when people feel like listening. I dont thin k im that great at it though

I have a question regarding this because I checked your website and couldn't find answers.

A. How would you sign a team up? I can't seem to find a place to register a team , but only to sign up myself. B. My friends and I are all Bronze/Silver level, and the kid who got us into the game is also Silver, but last season he finally squeaked into Gold 5- 0LP and that is the peak of his all time LP after playing for four seasons . If we were to register a team, would he be disqualified from playing with us?

Top five champions (No particular order): Currently playing Janna, Sona, Nami, Morg, Thresh, Braum with the most regularity.

Greatest strength in-game: I think I'm a good communicator, I'm hard to tilt, and have a fairly strong knowledge of game flow. I know when to go for objectives, how to set up vision, and how to communicate my thoughts. I feel that I have a good knowledge of when to play aggressive and make plays and when to be a bit more passive in lane. I also think I have a fairly "deep" support pool for a player in Silver. I have a good handle on what is effective in the meta and play the champions I feel are strongest.

Greatest weakness in-game: My skill is a limitation, obviously being only in silver I am not the best player in the world. While I'm not a perfect player I think my decision making helps me overcome some of my limitations. I also think my roaming could use some work, but it's hard to effectively communicate and set up roams in solo queue.

Do you have previous competitive experience (Any level)? If yes, explain: Not really, I played ranked 5s two seasons ago with a group of friends but we didn't take it too seriously at the time.

Why do you want to join the Cereal Killers? : I'm interested in playing consistently with a group of people and experience some form of competitive play. I love the LCS and have a side job covering the competitive league scene, so I'm drawn to that style of play. Trying to replicate it would be a good time.

Rate your shot-calling from a scale of 1-10 (Worst - Best): I'd say a 7 is fair. I'm not always making perfect calls in solo queue, but I think I'm better than the grand majority of people I play with in solo queue.

Preferred role: Support Current rank (Solo and Flex): Bronze V flex, Silver V solo/duo

Rank last season: Bronze 3, i think?

Top five champions (No particular order): Thresh, Braum, Bard, Zyra, Janna

Greatest strength in-game: Vision control, I have to have vision otherwise I feel vulnerable and exposed. If my lane is doing fine, or I see mid getting camped, then I'll prioritize the vision placement to help mid. Plus, wards op. Communication and the ability to make plays are also high on the list of my strengths.

Greatest weakness in-game: The greatest weakness I have in game is probably impatience. If I get too hyped, I become impatient and try to force plays as I see them developing, instead of waiting till the perfect moment to pull the trigger.

Do you have previous competitive experience (Any level)? If yes, explain: Yes, I've played with a variety of different teams through a variety of Elo's for different tournaments throughout this last year. Most of which being through gaming communities and a bit on Battlefy.

Why do you want to join the Cereal Killers? : I've been looking for a team for quite some time, I've been a free agent for the teams ive played on in the past. I love the competition, the comradery, and I'm looking for that on a consistent basis.

Rate your shot-calling from a scale of 1-10 (Worst - Best): I'd say 6, early-mid game is best, but I'm still working on late game and high pressure situations. It's a work in progress.
